FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I'm skilled in working in a variety of styles and can create, quality murals or artwork that range from simple and possibly abstract to extremely detailed. When working with a new client I, first, ask about their 'vision'. I'd like to know the purpose for their art and what they'd like to 'see' or expect in that space. It's imperative that the allotted area for the mural is evaluated and measured as well. After you've agreed to my charges and services, your down payment is made. I will, then, supply you with 3 sketches that will be adjusted and tweaked until your final design is approved. Once approved...your mural will be painted!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've studied and created art both formally and informally since I've been able to hold a pencil. My formal training includes studies in architecture, drawing and painting, industrial design and illustration as well as private classes with some of Georgia's best instructors in the Fine Arts. I not only create art but I also teach and am an 11 year, Georgia Certified Art Specialist within the Paulding County School System. I've participated in and won in numerous local art competitions, illustrated numerous books, have been published in craft books and calendars, have created and copyrighted several of my own designs and recently self-published my own coloring book. My teaching honors include 2 "Teacher of the Year" titles (2008-2009) and (2016-2017), a county Rotary Teacher of the Month (February 2009) and "Teacher of the District" (2016-2017)...not to mention the honor of being able to share my artwork and skills with so many eager hearts!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've been an artist since birth but actually began painting murals in 2004 while teaching art classes at a local Boys and Girls Club of America in the Atlanta area.
