FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For starters each customer has different expectations when it comes to the pricing, discounts, fees or even follow up maintenance( ex Irrigation or a water feature ). What i mean by pricing expectations is some want an itemized list of material and labor while other customers want one price for materials and one for labor along with a description of what will be done on their property. My experience has been this. More times than not when you have truly been genuine, honest, and straight forward with your Customer that results in trust. Do not have any hidden fees and any discounts ( Senior, military, etc...) should be discussed before the job starts. Always read before you sign and ask questions if needed. Don’t be afraid to ask the Pro a question. A question not answered is a customer not hiring!!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
A quick response to the Customer after reading the request is the first step. I like after an introduction like to get a brief description of what the project needs are. Once a day and time is set i call ahead to let my customer know that I’m on my way.( 30 minute notice). Once there i introduce myself and meet my new Customer for the first time. I like to walk with the Customer to the area or areas to get a better feel for my customer and any idea he or she might have for me. Some customers know exactly what they want and others need advice from a Landscape expert. When hired and a day is set i meet the guys at the customers home and introduce them and answer any additional questions then or any that occur as the project is being worked on. I work very closely with each customer and am on site often to talk talk with the guys some and hopefully the chance to touch base with my Customer again to address any questions, concerns or Just to say hi.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Just like most High School graduates that next stop is College. I didn’t have that opportunity like others but what i did have is the chance at a young age to see what it’s like to be a man. I took on this role scared and nervous as any kid would be but never let it slow me down. I was always told as a young man that if your name is no good then your no good and to always treat others like you want to be treated. I learned early on how rewarding it was to take care of others and being so young helped to mold me into the man i am today. No my education and / or training was not in a classroom and my teachers had no chalkboard to write on.
