Words can't describe how awesome my daughter's sweet 16 party turned out thanks to Trendy Fun Party event planners. Monica and Diego were professional from the very beginning and kept me in the loop with every aspect of the planning. They turned the space into a cocktail themed party. Diego also was the hired photographer for the event and took some amazing photos. My daughter loved it and was the topic of the day when she went to school. Thank you both for making this event so special and I would recommend this company to anyone looking to plan an event.

I hired Marcus to cater my daughter's wedding. Marcus and his team worked very hired and were very professional. He was always available to answer my questions. I feel that we received great quality of food for the price and everything was delicious. Several attendees of the wedding were very complimentary of the food. I would not hesitate to hire Marcus again for another event.

Leneille was so kind and her kindness was consistent until the day we met her at our wedding reception. She was willing to go above and beyond her call of duty. We felt so blessed to have her there for us, serving our Guest. She also made suggestions and implemented where needed. She was punctual and pleasant toward everyone. She even called to tell me while running an errands she noticed the wedding photo location we chose was being decorated for a city event and didn't want us to stress out by giving us time to look for another location for pictures. I felt so good because she didn't have to do that and I told my fiancé (at the time...lol!) and he was so pleased she was looking out for us above and beyond. We recommend Leneille Inc Events not because of a price because SHE'S PRICELESS but we recommend her because of her genuine desire to serve, to go above and beyond. :)

Since my wedding is so far away, we have obviously not started doing anything, but during our first meeting, we clicked instantly! She had so many great ideas..not to mention she is the sweetest woman. I went ahead and put my deposit down because I knew instantly that I wanted her to not only be my florist but a crucial part in my wedding planning overall.

Knowing I did not have to worry about anything and it would all be beautiful was worth every penny. Jazzy was extremely friendly, professional, and SO creative! I am an old, old school guy but well traveled. In the fifties, sixties right thru to the nineties, I was popularly known as "Jet". I have lived in every continent on this planet except Australia. I am fluent in 3 languages & understand a bunch of others. I have really enjoyed myself around the world, hence I know a lot about entertainment & enjoyment. I contracted a 2-day event (Introduction, Engagement & Church Wedding) to Adesola Oshikanlu some months back, believe me, I am still savoring the juiciness of the occasion. Due to her tenacity & thoughtfulness, we were able to stretch what was to be a 2 days event, into 3 days & 2 nights; just for 2 days & 1 night payment. Incredible!!!!! I do not know the magic behind her organization, but one thing I am certain of, is that the cost of the event to me was like 'No Charge'. Every guest was pleased & the congratulatory message is still echoing in my ears. My regret is that I do not have any more personal wedding event to organize, but she can bank on my birthdays which comes every year, as well as Christmas/New Year parties. Adesola Oshikanlu is currently being introduced to my friends & relatives which is the least I can do for her. The Chairman of an Engineering firm is hosting a conference in Las Vegas very soon, he has promised to contract it out to Adesola Oshikanlu. He too was at the wedding. Adesola Oshikanlu is a genius and the 'Guru' in the 'Events' organizational field. Please keep soaring like the eagle. Well done, beautiful!!!!

I hired Kori Nicole for a one day wedding coordination contract, but she provided so much more. From our initial meeting more than 30 days out, she has been intimately involved in the details of my wedding. Meeting with the vendors, being immediately accessible via phone text and email, and providing additional decorative suggestion as needed, she is everything I could have dreamed of in someone to help me make my wedding day the absolute perfection I dreamed of. Even my guests commented on how hard she worked the day of. My husband is especially grateful in that she ridded me of so much stress and anxiety and it was less for him to deal with, lol. I, for one after experiencing what she does first-hand, believes she is significantly under-priced, so if you can snag her, be sure to jump at it, because she is the best I've seen in this industry from years of seeing mediocre coordinators of weddings of friends and family. THANK YOU Kori Nicole, for such exceptional service and professionalism. We will definitely be seeing you at the next big event celebration :-).

Eric and I are so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Tiana Chang and Oh So Pretti, LLC. I contacted Tiana at the very tail end of my trying to handle my own DIY wedding (she jumped right in as if she were family); Tiana and her team were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. She went above and beyond what I could have ever imagined, it’s because of Tiana and Oh So Pretti, LLC that we even had a wedding at all! About 6-weeks from the wedding I hadn't finished my centerpieces, decorations, linen, favors, draperies, etc. for the ceremony and reception. With one phone call, Ms. Tiana came in and saved the day! Within weeks, she contacted my vendors and was full steam ahead, what I love about Tiana is that she will make suggestions but not push you into doing something that will overextend your budget - it was at the point that I said "do you" because I knew that I was in good hands -:)! Because of her suggestions, our wedding was more than I could imagine, she brought my DIY vision to life. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends about how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were... the centerpieces, lighting, draping, and arrangements around the room were amazing! Most importantly, Tiana and OH So Pretti LLC made us feel a part of their family and made sure we were taken care of. We have already recommended Tiana and her OH So Pretti team to our friends! Sincere thanks and gratitude, Eric & Tammy Price. (9/08/2018, Buford, GA).

I was introduced to Conchetta from a Mutual friend when I got engaged. From the first meeting she was very sincere, open and explained everything to me so that we were on the same page. From the time of being engaged and to our actual wedding was only six months. Her team pulled off a 250 guest count with easy. She can work with any budget. If you’re in GA contact her and tell her Dana sent you!

If you are getting married, definitely plan on using E & P Events as your wedding planner. From all the wedding expenses, this was the most valuable. My family, friends, and vendors were all skeptical when I first mentioned I hired a planner, but once they saw how beautifully the wedding was executed, they were raving about Peter and Essie. In the months prior to the wedding, Peter did an incredible job keeping me grounded and making sure all details were addressed and well thought out. He also helped negotiate better deals with almost all my vendors. I was a pretty demanding bride and he was so patient and cool with me the whole time. During the wedding events, he was under the radar and handled a few emergencies so smoothly that no one noticed a thing, including me on that day. People are still raving about how organized and classy the wedding was. My parents were so appreciative of his work because they could mingle with family and friends instead of handling logistics with the hotel and each vendor. The wedding day was a beautiful memory for my husband and I, it was better than we could have imagined and we're so thankful we trusted Peter with our big day.

Hannah was an amazing help to me during this time of wedding planning. I worked a full time job and it was too much for me to do by myself. Hannah helped me plan and secure all the details. She thought of every tiny detail and that really helped my wedding day go so smoothly. I trusted her completely. My wedding day was fabulous. Everything went smoothly, due to Hannah. My friends and family have made comments to me about how great Hannah was and how she took charge and had everything under control. I would hire her over and over again!

Q & A

Answers to commonly asked questions from the experts on Thumbtack.

What does a wedding event coordinator do?

Pulling off a large, complex wedding or an elegant, small affair requires juggling myriad details, including the officiant, food, drink, wedding cake, entertainment, transportation, rehearsal dinner, photography, equipment rentals, venue reservations and more. A wedding event coordinator can help you keep track of these details, overseeing the planning process and managing everything on the day of your wedding. Each wedding coordinator (and wedding) is different, but in general you can expect an event coordinator to:

  • Help you devise a realistic wedding budget and hold your vendors to it.
  • Map out a master plan that includes all of the details including ceremony music, favors, the guest book and more.
  • Suggest ceremony and reception locations that fit your wedding size, budget and vision.
  • Suggest florists, photographers, bands, caterers and other vendors that fit your budget.
  • Negotiate vendor contracts for the best deals.
  • Create a timeline for the day of the wedding that includes each vendor and member of your wedding party.
  • Mail invitations and track RSVPs.
  • Answer questions about wedding etiquette and current wedding trends.
  • Manage the wedding day from supervising vendors and setup to handling last-minute emergencies.

What is a wedding planner?

A wedding planner is a professional service provider whose job it is to organize and execute all the details of a couple’s wedding. A wedding planner can be contracted at any stage in the wedding planning process to help to any degree the couple is willing to pay for. Wedding planning is similar to event planning in that a planning team handles the coordination of multiple wedding elements including catering, venue, guests, entertainment, decor, transportation and more. Anyone who has ever been involved in a wedding can confirm that wedding planning is hard work. Experience brings wisdom when it comes to avoiding or resolving day-of challenges. There is no legal regulatory body that oversees or certifies wedding planning as an industry. Anyone who chooses can call themselves a wedding planner. When looking for a wedding planner, be sure to read reviews, and make smart hiring decisions by asking about licenses and insurance.

Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

  • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
  • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
  • Conducting the wedding rehearsal.
  • Helping the bride and her wedding party get dressed and take photos.
  • Checking floor plans, lighting levels, cake placement, menus, favors and more.
  • Collecting the wedding gifts and keeping personal items safe and accounted for.

Even if you don’t think you need a wedding coordinator, check with your venue. Some require that couples hire a day-of wedding coordinator for the day of the event.

How much does it cost for a wedding planner?

Wedding planning is a full-time job — unless you hire a professional to handle the hard work for you. The cost for a wedding planner will depend on the level of service you desire. The least expensive wedding planner option is day-of coordination, then partial service, then full-service.

The national average cost for wedding planning is between $990 and $1,300. Costs are greatly affected by region, with rural or smaller-town wedding planners often far more affordable than planners in higher-cost cities. Here are some examples of the various levels of wedding planning and their potential average costs:

  • Day-of-wedding coordination: $800-$1,700. Day-of services can include the planner finalizing all details, creating a timeline, confirming vendors and overseeing all setup, day-of activities, and cleanup. The couple does all the front-end planning and contracts all the vendors. Time commitment could be about 15-25 hours, depending on pricing.
  • Partial service: $1,500-$3,800. Here the planner works with the couple from the beginning, helping contract vendors, creating a timeline, and overseeing all details of day-of execution. Time commitment could be about 30-60 hours, depending on package and pricing.
  • Full service: $3,500-$8,000 or more. Here the professional handles all wedding and planning details including working on design, securing rentals, getting the venue and vendors, and handling complete execution of the event. Time commitment could be 50-150 hours or more, depending on package and pricing.
  • Consulting: $50-$150 per hour for design, vendor, reception and other wedding planning consultation.

How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours. Another option is to hire a coordinator to manage the last-minute details leading up to the event; for example, 25 hours of month-of coordination costs an average of $1,200. Several factors affect the cost of day-of coordination, including the region, the planner’s experience, and the specifics of the wedding. If the ceremony and reception are in two different locations, expect to pay more than if they’re in the same place. Also, extra details, such as managing food trucks or setting up snacks in addition to the meal, will increase the cost.

Hire skilled professionals for absolutely everything.
