All three of our children have worked with either Allison or tutors she employs. All of the tutors have been very helpful in working with our children. The results have been great as well as my kids always come out of their sessions more confident in their ability to learn the material and more comfortable with the material reviewed. Allison does a great job of juggling schedules and keeping us informed of scheduling options. I strongly recommend utilizing East Cobb Tutoring Center for any tutoring needs your children may have.
At Mission Possible Tutors, we specialize in paper editing and helping students to become proficient in the areas of writing, grammar, and reading comprehension. All of our tutors are current or former English teachers who hold an English education certificate. Our tutors have a range of degrees and accolades, as well as a wealth of knowledge, but their most valuable assets are their desires to see students achieve their academic goals and become successful. We realize that not every student learns by the same method, and our tutors are dedicated to individualizing the learning process so that our students thrive academically. Having teachers as tutors helps ensure that we stay abreast of not only the skills that align with state standards and mandated exams but also what students need to be successful in the classroom. There is nothing quite like seeing a student achieve a goal that he or she found unattainable in the past. What do we love about our job? When the light bulb comes on and there is an "aha" moment!

I help people of any age with reading and writing properly. I've always excelled at reading, writing, and spelling in school. When I was in the seventh grade, I was already reading at a ninth-grade level. I never failed a spelling test and always got an A or B on them. By the time I got to high school, I read at a college sophomore level. I've always been a great teacher and helper to others who have difficulties in reading, writing, and or spelling.

The Liguori School provides homework assistance to students grades 1-5. In the morning from 6:30 to 8:00 a.m., we provide educational tutoring in basic math facts, using direct instructional principals. The after-school program focuses on homework completion and a task analysis of the students ability to complete those tasks. In addition, reading and writing skills are reviewed based on CRCT guidelines. Practice tests are given periodically to determine weak skill areas that need remediation. Contact with student's teachers through e-mails keeps us informed of the students progress and needs. Are you looking for academic tutoring? I am a learning specialist with a master of arts in teaching degree from Emory University. Having owned and operated my tutoring business for over 20 years, I have experienced teaching children with ages from preschool through high school. I specialize in teaching children with learning disabilities in the areas of attention, memory and language. Some of the subjects I am qualified to teach include reading, math, writing, study skills, organizational skills, and test-taking skills. Recently, I have developed seminars for parents on innovative teaching techniques for teaching math concepts. The seminars are taught by grade level and by specific math concepts such as regrouping in addition and subtraction, multiplication and division concepts, fraction concepts and operations with mixed numbers, decimal concepts and operations, and percents. I have found that when children truly understand and can visualize math concepts, they retain the information and can apply it to new situations. I welcome the opportunity to be of assistance to you. My rates are $50 per hour for individual sessions and $25 per person for small group sessions. The group sessions are limited to 3 people.
