About this pro
The work was done in a timely manner and attention to detail was good.May 8, 2018Verified
Met in person and showed hard copy of manuscript and told him that it needed everything multiple times. Agreed upon an increased price from original quote. He returned seven pages of edited book out of 170 pages for $400. Have tried to contact without success. In my mind that makes him a con man and a thief. Use caution.Jul 21, 2017
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?I work with my clients to determine the services I provide are within their budgetary constraints. A 100,000-word novel could cost anywhere from $500 (for proofreading) to $1000 (for rewriting/developmental editing). Screenplays start around $750. I have been known to come in under that if I love the idea and am included on the credits.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I like to maintain an open line of communication with my clients. If I'm given a book to edit or a screenplay to write, it makes sense to write/edit the first few pages to make sure my client is happy after the first few chapters or scenes before tackling the entire project. It only makes sense.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I'm a published author and have edited several books that have been published. I've also written, co-written, or edited twenty screenplays.
