- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Private music lessons (Violin or Piano) are taught in my home on Ogeechee Rd near Chatham Parkway. most begin with one 30 min session per week ($25) but 45 min ($37) and 1 hour sessions ($50) are also available.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We can get together for a free meet and greet session to discuss your goals and desires of music lessons and choose the method books that will best suit your objectives. You can then decide if you would like to proceed with lessons and we will set a schedule. Typically, once a week for either thirty minutes works well for beginners then later move up to an hour each session.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 28 years experience teaching music lessons ranging from classical to contemporary , bluegrass, fiddle, and pop to students of all ages. My undergrad and masters are in Music education and Education Specialist degree in brain research. In addition to years of study and experience in traditional methods of piano and strings teaching, I have pedagogical training in Suzuki violin method, Mark O Conner's American School of String Playing, Strings without Boundaries . I love unlocking the mystery of how to create, read and perform music.
