Omg Candy is an absolute gem. Her personality is warm and fun - she will immediately set you at ease. She worked directly with my 12 year-old to get his ideas and then designed an utterly mouth-dropping Naruto room for him. I couldn’t be more amazed at how talented she is! As importantly for a Virgo like myself, her communication is top-notch and her business processes made everything easier. I would definitely use her again and recommend you do to!Mar 23, 2019VerifiedPeppermint's reply
Awww, thanks, Nzinga! It has been such a pleasure to meet you and your family. This was *such* a fun project to work on, and I am thrilled your son is is so happy with it!
Candy gave me great ideas for each room I am looking to update. She helped with paint colors and furniture placement ( I’ve already incorporated some of the suggestions). Candy is very good at what she does, I am excited to get started on all my projects. I am glad I found Peppermint!Sep 2, 2019VerifiedPeppermint's reply

Candy was great to work with! I needed help with ideas regarding paint colors, furniture, furniture placement, and accessories that would not break my bank, but help our home look more pulled together and comfortable! She was very professional and knowledgeable and gave me so many good ideas! On top of that, she made it so much fun! I highly recommend Candy!Apr 29, 2019VerifiedPeppermint's reply

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? We'll always start with a free phone consultation to get to know each other a little bit and discuss your project. From there, we offer a 2-hour paid consultation, where we'll provide initial design ideas, color consulting and furniture/space planning. If you just need help untangling your ideas, choosing paint colors, or rearranging your rooms, a consultation is exactly what you need. If you're looking for more comprehensive design assistance, we have a variety of options available to meet nearly any budget. Once we put together a design fee proposal that meets your needs, we require a 50% retainer of that design fee up front. When possible, we prefer to source furniture and decor items through our trade resources. Here we are able to offer you savings, as we pass on some of our savings to you. If you love to design but just need a little hand-holding, we offer a "Designer On Call" service in which you can purchase blocks of time to be used as you wish. Whatever you need, we can find something that works for you, because I believe everyone deserves a home they love to live in!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? The first step is to schedule a free 15-30 minute phone call, where we'll briefly discuss your hopes and dreams for your project. Then, if all systems are go, we'll schedule a 2-hour on-site consultation. We can spend the time discussing whatever you want to discuss — paint, furniture layout, remodeling goals, favorite pie recipes — it's entirely up to you! This is a paid, working appointment, and you will walk away with actionable tips and advice. If you have some inspiration pictures, show them to me, and walk me through the space. Then we’ll talk some more, probably a lot more, and discuss your timeline and budget. Your happiness and satisfaction is our goal, and it is so important for us to be on the same page on both topics to ensure that. From there, I will put together a proposal detailing the scope of the project with an estimated design fee and timeline. Once this is approved and the design fee retainer paid, we can get to work creating a home that suits your lifestyle. Our goal? Zero stress. All smiles.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?I’ve always loved good design. The colors, the textures, the shapes — all of it just makes me happy. … And that moment when I find that unicorn fabric or wallpaper that EXACTLY pulls together the rug, the sofa AND the chairs? Well, there are not enough emojis to express that feeling! I have taken that lifetime love and passion for color and creativity to Peppermint: an interior design studio devoted to making fun, unique and functional spaces accessible to everyone.
