What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my prices range from $20-$30 per visit depending on how far you live from my home.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to taking on any new job I require a free meet and greet where i come to your home to make sure you are comfortable with me and vice versa. If your dog will be be boarding at my house, I require a meet and greet at my house to make sure there are no aggression issues. All boarding dogs must be up do date on yearly shots including the bordatella shot for kennel cough every 6 months.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am licensed, bonded and insured through Pet sitters International, the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters.
I am also certified in pet CPR, first aid and wound care through Pet Tech Inc.
I have a BA in Psychology which helps me relate to my customers on a daily basis!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I initially owned a dog boarding franchise called Camp Bow Wow. My customers were so upset when i closed it during the recession in 2008 it prompted me to want to find another business working with animals where I would be my own boss. I have never looked back!
I LOVE WHAT I DO AND i DO WHAT I LOVE! lucky me :)
What types of customers have you worked with?
My customers are so broad and diverse from Delta pilots and every imaginable aspect at delta, Business men and women, actors and actresses, models, the list is endless and respect everyone's privacy.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently working on secret photos with santa and it's been an absolute blast!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
ALWAYS HIRE A PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER! Why?
1. REDUCED STRESS:
your pet stays in its own familiar secure environment where all the sights, smells and sounds say MY Home!
2. DIET AND EXERCISE:
Your pets are more comfortable with their regular routine, diet and exercise.
3. NO TRAVEL TRAUMA:
Travel to a relative's home, a boarding facility or kennel may stress and upset your pet. Pet parents also hae to schedule those trips around an already busy schedule.
4. HEALTH CONCERNS;
With a professional pet sitter your pet is not exposed to illnesses of other animals nor required to have additional shots. Close observation by a sitter often catches illness or injury early.
Your pet receives one on one observation, pampering and love and attention while you are away.
You won't be inconvenienced or rushed by transporting your pet away
from the safety of its own home. Pets are safe and comfortable whenever you return home.
7. NO IMPOSITIONS TO OTHERS:
You don't have to impose on a friend, neighbor or relative to care for our pet who may let you down, or not even show up. Instead, you can rely on a pet care professional that will put your pet's needs first.
8. HOME SAFETY:
There is daily activity at your home, your mail is gathered, lights are alternated, all of which provides a lived in feel and can often act as a crime deterrent.
9. PEACE OF MIND:
While you're away, ou can feel confident your pet is in the most capable loving and caring hands.
10. SPECIAL SERVICES:
Professionals often take the time to provide additional home services while caring for our pet such as watering plants, bringing in the papers, mail and packages and cans to the curb on garbage pick up day...the list is endless.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How many visits a day they need for their pet. I will only do a minimum of 2 visits a day for dogs for obvious safety and well being issues even with dog doors. The # of visits per day along with your distance from my house determines the price per visit.
