We were new to the area and needed a pet sitter for our cat while on vacation. Suzi did a phenomenal job! She came to our house to meet our cat and go over everything before we left. She texted me daily to let me know all was well. In addition, she got the mail, took care of the trash, and watered the flowers. I highly recommend her, and we will definitely use her again in the future!

My dog Sasha, fell for Suzie instantly and I knew that she was going to enjoy her time away from home. She definitely did. We plan on repeat visits.

If you are looking for [professional] petsitting services, look no further, Homeward Hounds Petsitting, LLC, is the real deal. Owner Suzi Burk handles, cares for, and loves on your pet(s) as if he/she were her own. I would NEVER let anyone petsit my Beagle, but after seeing how Mrs. Burk handles, cares for, and loves on him, I highly recommend her.

Homeward Hounds Pet Sitting is an excellent choice when faced with the dilemma of what to do with your furry friends while you are away. Suzi has watched our two big dogs when we were out of town and we couldn't have been happier with her service. She absolutely LOVES animals and they loved her. She texted us photos of them and let us know they were doing fine. I would also trust her experienced advice when making any decisions when it comes to my pup's health care too. Highly recommended!

Suzi is a fantastic dog walker who takes exceptional care of our Coton de Tulear dogs. Not only does Suzi ensure that dogs get their walks, but she also grooms as needed and ensures their overall health. She has been invaluable to our family and has gone the extra mile to ensure our pets are taken care of, including coming to the house on weekends or watching the dogs during a family emergency. We are grateful for her care. Norleena and Brandon Gullett

Suzi is an angel on earth! She takes care of my brood which is 4 cats and 2 dogs. They LOVE their Aunt Suzi. She is very committed and dedicated in providing the best care possible. I have actually added her name at my vets office for her to take my pets in if needed. I trust that she will be good steward and diligent in their care. I trust Suzi implicitly.

Suzi is an absolutely fabulous and extremely attentive pet sitter. I happily leave my 4.5lb Yorkshire Terrier with her each time I travel. Suzi is a rare find, you will not be displeased! She is WONDERFUL!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
my prices range from $20-$30 per visit depending on how far you live from my home.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Prior to taking on any new job I require a free meet and greet where i come to your home to make sure you are comfortable with me and vice versa. If your dog will be be boarding at my house, I require a meet and greet at my house to make sure there are no aggression issues. All boarding dogs must be up do date on yearly shots including the bordatella shot for kennel cough every 6 months.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am licensed, bonded and insured through Pet sitters International, the world's largest educational association for professional pet sitters. I am also certified in pet CPR, first aid and wound care through Pet Tech Inc. I have a BA in Psychology which helps me relate to my customers on a daily basis!
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I initially owned a dog boarding franchise called Camp Bow Wow. My customers were so upset when i closed it during the recession in 2008 it prompted me to want to find another business working with animals where I would be my own boss. I have never looked back! I LOVE WHAT I DO AND i DO WHAT I LOVE! lucky me :)
What types of customers have you worked with?
My customers are so broad and diverse from Delta pilots and every imaginable aspect at delta, Business men and women, actors and actresses, models, the list is endless and respect everyone's privacy.
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I am currently working on secret photos with santa and it's been an absolute blast!
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
ALWAYS HIRE A PROFESSIONAL PET SITTER! Why? 1. REDUCED STRESS: your pet stays in its own familiar secure environment where all the sights, smells and sounds say MY Home! 2. DIET AND EXERCISE: Your pets are more comfortable with their regular routine, diet and exercise. 3. NO TRAVEL TRAUMA: Travel to a relative's home, a boarding facility or kennel may stress and upset your pet. Pet parents also hae to schedule those trips around an already busy schedule. 4. HEALTH CONCERNS; With a professional pet sitter your pet is not exposed to illnesses of other animals nor required to have additional shots. Close observation by a sitter often catches illness or injury early. 5. TLC; Your pet receives one on one observation, pampering and love and attention while you are away. 6. TRAVEL: You won't be inconvenienced or rushed by transporting your pet away from the safety of its own home. Pets are safe and comfortable whenever you return home. 7. NO IMPOSITIONS TO OTHERS: You don't have to impose on a friend, neighbor or relative to care for our pet who may let you down, or not even show up. Instead, you can rely on a pet care professional that will put your pet's needs first. 8. HOME SAFETY: There is daily activity at your home, your mail is gathered, lights are alternated, all of which provides a lived in feel and can often act as a crime deterrent. 9. PEACE OF MIND: While you're away, ou can feel confident your pet is in the most capable loving and caring hands. 10. SPECIAL SERVICES: Professionals often take the time to provide additional home services while caring for our pet such as watering plants, bringing in the papers, mail and packages and cans to the curb on garbage pick up day...the list is endless.
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
How many visits a day they need for their pet. I will only do a minimum of 2 visits a day for dogs for obvious safety and well being issues even with dog doors. The # of visits per day along with your distance from my house determines the price per visit.
