- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Immigration Cases: I charge flat rates so that my clients know what to expect. No surprises. I provide a breakdown of the steps that will lead to resolution of their immigration issue or matter. If the fee is paid in full rather than in 2 or 3 payments I offer a 10% discount. Family Law Cases: I charge a flat rate and provide a checklist of documents needed to complete the process quickly and efficiently. Mediation Cases: I typically charge $150 to $250 per hour for mediation services, depending on the complexity of the divorce issues. This fee is split equally between the parties, unless the parties agree otherwise.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I use intake forms and online forms to make initial contact and to set appointments for immigration and family law cases. When I am acting as a mediator, because of neutrality, I try not to speak with the parties prior to mediation. I instead send all service agreement information and contracts to the parties jointly prior to conducting the mediation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an undergraduate degree in Biology and a graduate degree in education and I have been a family law attorney since 2000. I have extensive experience mediating divorces and child custody matters since becoming a registered mediator with Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution in 2009.
