I have met with Dr Barnes individually, and also with my husband and I because of marital problems. She is very direct, and does not beat around the bush with what she has to say. She is patient and gives you your money's worth in regards to her time/your time. I feel confident in the advise she gives, because it comes from a Biblical standpoint. She refers to the Bible as a reference, so as a Follower of Christ, that's important to me, because I want to be in His will. Through talking to her, I was able to realize the root of some of my personal issues, as well as the root of our issues as a couple. We continue to work at these things. I had no problems with how Dr Barnes handled our sessions. I have recommended her to others.

Dr. Barnes did pre-marital counseling with me and my Then fiance and boy are we glad we went through the process. I know for sure that all her expertise, compassion and ability to help us bring out what needed to be brought out, has made all the difference in our marriage. Dr. Barnes also Counseled my son and the guidance which she gave him, has made all the difference in his personal growth. I look at him today and I'm so ever grateful for Dr. Barnes and how she has impacted all our lives. Because Dr. J was so impacting in my life and that of my son and husband, I referenced her to my in- laws and in that regard she also made a great impact in motivating and encouraging necessary change in their lives. I often say that Dr. Barnes is a GOD -sent to my life!..

Dr. Barnes was my professor at Shorter College. She was always accessible to her student and very inviting. Dr. Barnes is a great professor who enriched the classroom with her teaching style and her realistic approach. She is definitely the best in the business.

I received counseling from Dr. Barnes as an individual and also as a couple for marriage counseling. She is open, accepting, and honest. She listens and helps guide you to the answers that were within you all along! She knows the Word of the Lord and helps relate it back to your life. She also has a series of devotionals on YouTube to help you walk in accordance with the Word on a daily basis. I highly recommend her services if you're ready to let God change your life for the better!

Dr. Barnes is an awesome counselor. She is a caring and uses techniques that encompass mind,body, and soul. In counseling, she guides you in such a manner that you hardly realize you are in a counseling session but once I was done the result was amazing.
