Krystin at Small House is the real deal!!! Seriously the most magical, wonderful photographer and Dan and I could not love our engagement and wedding photos more. Just incredible. My mom said our wedding shoot looked like a spread in Southern Living! And truly it did. She’s also a doll of a person and so prompt and professional but warm and fun at the same time. Couldn’t recommend Small House more.

We used Krystin as our photographer for our wedding back in October 2021 and could not have been more thrilled with her throughout our engagement and wedding process. From our first call to getting our final pictures, she proved to be very attentive, professional, patient and easy to communicate with. Beyond all that, though, she is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet and, despite the fact that she does weddings all the time, it always felt like she was so excited for us every step of the way. On top of all these qualities, I was absolutely blown away by the amount of thought that she put into the different pictures we would take. We got married in a historic downtown area and, though I don't think I ever even mentioned this to her, I was a bit bummed that there weren't many grassy areas to take pictures in. Cut to wedding day and the first place she takes us to after the ceremony is the most incredible, hidden spot tucked behind a building that ended up giving us a backdrop that looks like something out of a magazine. Krystin was the only vendor that I knew I never had to worry about. She had such a calming presence on our wedding day and, for that alone, I am so grateful. I promise, you won't regret hiring her!

Truly the best engagement/wedding photographer I could have hoped to have during such a wild time (looking at you, pandemic). She was flexible and understanding and she went above and beyond to not only travel for our engagement shoot but also get there a day early to stake out the best spots. She is also just a joyful person to be around who made our shoot so easy/our pictures look so natural. Her editing skills are top notch and I got so many compliments on how warm and beautiful the light looked in them. I moved across the country and I will pay good money to fly her out to do future shoots. Still waiting to get wedding pictures done (wedding was postponed due to pandemic) but I am more than confident they will be gorgeous.

This was my first time ever having professional pictures done. We hired Smallhouse Photography to photograph our wedding as well as engagement photos .Our photographer Krystin was just amazing in every aspect. Our engagement photos were beautiful and she got them back to us very quickly. She is so sweet , funny and professional. Krystin made my wedding day extra special and she made everyone feel at ease while taking their photos . Everyone at my wedding complimented how great of a job she did . What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Military, teachers and first responder families get a discount on wedding collections and full priced sessions. Not eligible with any other discounts or promotions.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We discuss your photography needs and the services I provide. If we are a perfect match, a signed contract and non refundable deposit reserves your spot in my calendar. Before the scheduled session we discuss any specific shot requests, timeline, location and share any details such as family dynamics or any areas of insecurity. The day of is show time where I get to capture you in your best light!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have worked alongside tens of other photographers that I have been able to learn uniquely from each, acquiring a diverse set of skills and knowledge. I am continually striving to learn more and better my craft. I love what I do, and serving you in the best way possible!
