J and I did not get to work together. However, I will write about my experience with booking with J. We spoke on the phone about the details of what I was looking for. During our conversation I mentioned to her that I would like a portrait of my mom with her wearing a crown. She agreed. She also mentioned she would send me a rough draft before the final approval. However, when we spoke the next day as I was awaiting the invoice she then agreed and then 10 minutes later stated that a portrait is not something she can do and not how she does her sip and paint. As my event is in 6 days I then chose something easier to do and she still proceeded to say she would decline the offer. This would have all been okay if she hadn’t initially agreed and if my event wasn’t this upcoming weekend. Very disappointing.
