The men that helped me move were great. They really knew what they were doing, and made the move less painful for me. All of my belongings were taken care of, and nothing was damaged. I live on the third floor with a very sharp turn on the last flight of steps, they made that turn with every piece of furniture I have and did not even scratch it. Personally, I could not have made that turn with my chair, much less my sofa sleeper.

I procured Mr. Hudgins to move two large pieces of furniture, one with a mirror. He moved them back to my home, which was 40 miles away. Mr. Hudgins did an exceptional job. He knows how to wrap and pack furniture for safe transport. Additionally, he's a very respectful young man with a calm disposition, and I felt he was completely trustworthy. I'll certainly call on him again in the future as needed.

I called Mr. Jones after a friend of mine recommended him. I needed a tree removed from my yard that was cut down and he did the job well. He is very good at what he does. He was so good at what he does I have him coming every two weeks for his services. BTW he even moved furniture for me.

How much should you tip furniture movers?

Moving furniture is hard work and potentially dangerous unless you’re properly equipped. For anyone not ready to handle their heavy oak armoire alone, professional furniture movers can safely and efficiently move your items to another room in your house or across town as needed. The national average cost to hire heavy furniture movers is $150-$200 per hour. This rate could include multiple furniture movers working as a team to move items such as beds, armoires, billiards tables, pianos, shelves, tables, entertainment centers and more. Hourly rates can vary by region. If your furniture movers have arrived on time, done a great job, kept your home and belongings protected from scratches and dings, and completed the move as planned, a tip will be greatly appreciated. Moving companies suggest approximately 10 percent of the total bill as gratuity for those doing local moving jobs, which is also a good guideline for tipping heavy furniture movers. If the total bill for heavy moving was $100 and two workers were onsite, consider giving them $10 total, or $5 each for a job well done.
