Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I strive to capture moments in time that will be treasured for years, even generations, to come. Each session is different, I don't have a set of poses I run through, I don't use lots of props or the same locations, I prefer to make each session a one of a kind experience and as personalized as possible. My work must reflect the true nature of my subjects, and be as unique as they are. Making people who think they can't take a good photo change their minds is one of my favorite things! I also love getting to know my clients and their families. But what I like the most is being a part of such important and precious moments in their lives. I feel honored to be there to witness the beautiful commitment of marriage vows, the miracle of a newborn baby, the excitement and anticipation of an expectant mother, and so many other amazing milestones we experience on our journey through life.

Kirsten Luna is amazing! I used her for my senior high school pictures, and even came back to her (with friends) for our homecoming pictures. She also took my Homecoming Court walk out pictures, along with family pictures. My senior high school pictures were done at a local church and had beautiful scenery. She was very patient in taking the pictures and making me feel comfortable. The job took about two hours and the pictures came back to me very quickly! She is an excellent photographer!

Kirsten took photos of my newborn baby girl. Not only was she professional and courteous, Kirsten was also very creative about what poses and outfits would look best. She put my baby at ease and took her time getting the best pictures. Kristen is a dear person and a wonderful photographer. I would recommend her to anyone.

Kirsten is an outstanding photographer. She photographed my newborn and she did a wonderful job! My baby even had an accident during one of the diaperless photos and Kirsten was so kind about it and reassured me that it happens all the time. The pictures are so beautiful and I am so thankful to Kirsten for capturing such precious moments. She will always be the only photographer I use!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am constantly reading anything and everything I can get my hands on pertaining to photography, it truly is the biggest passion in my life after my children! I participate in online classes and am always on the lookout for new inspiration and ideas. I would love to return to F.S.U. in the near future to obtain my Master's in Fine Arts with a focus in Photography and Art History.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

As a graduate from The Florida State University's School of Visual Arts, Theatre & Dance with a Bachelor's Degree in Studio Art, I first launched a career in graphic design and technical illustration. Photography has always been a passion of mine, but I regarded it as more of a hobby and opted for the security of a 9 to 5 job with benefits. After about 12 years I decided I was not cut out for office life, and veered into freelance design work. Throughout it all I always had a camera with me everywhere I went. After realizing how much I loved capturing life through my lens, I decided I simply needed to do what I loved to do and began my own photography business. I've never been happier!

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The majority of my work right now is in newborn photography and strangely enough, real estate photography. (My parents are realtors and I take all of their photos for them, and have gained a clientele in that field as well as my more traditional photography jobs.) Family, and engagement come in second, with wedding and maternity photography quickly becoming more prevalent. I love it all, and I treat each and every job I take on with the utmost importance. I expect perfection from myself at all times.
