FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I prefer to be as simple and as upfront about pricing as possible, and work using one of two pricing models. I offer flat rate prices for smaller more common tasks such as fan and lighting installation, faucet repair, toilet valve replacement, etc... For miscellaneous services, my standard rate is $50/hour. I have a minimum charge of 2 hours labor for all jobs, making my minimum service fee is $100.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The process usually varies based on the size and scope of the project. For smaller/simpler projects: I will discuss the specific details of the project, identify any possible complications, and if it all possible provide a quote over the phone. For larger or more complicated projects: I will schedule an appointment with the customer to discuss the scope of the project, take photos and measurements, identify possible complications, and will follow up with a written estimate within 24 hours.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Research average prices for the services you are interested in, look at examples of prior projects, and look at reviews from previous customers!
