My experience with Lyla B. Photography has been wonderful. Laura is an excellent photographer and truly captures the moment. She is a pleasure to work with and goes out of her way to be accommodating. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for an excellent photographer. I suggest you checkout her website, it speaks volumes.

Laura shot our christmas family photos! Our first session got rained out so she was very flexible when we needed to reschedule! The price was very competitive compared to others we looked at! We used her shots for Xmas cards and gifts to family. We look forward to our next session with Lyla B Photography.

About this pro

My work stands out from others who do what I do, because the pictures I capture are very natural. I absolutely love that I get the opportunity to capture such wonderful memories for individuals and families to hold onto for a lifetime.

    Q & A

    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
Photography has always been a passion of mine, ever since I was about 6 years old when my grandparents gave me my first camera, a 110 film cartridge model. By the time I reached my early teens, I joined a photography club at school and upgraded to my 35mm camera. My interest in photography grew as I found objects to photograph. I would persuade my friends to pose for pictures whenever we were together. My parents finally grew tired of paying for film to be developed weekly, so they gave me a digital point and shoot for my high school graduation. Soon after I married, my husband surprised me with my DSLR camera. It wasn't long after that my husband, family and friends encouraged me to pursue my dream of becoming a photographer, and I could not be more grateful or happier to say that my dreams of being a photographer finally came true.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common types of photography sessions that I shoot for my clients are, family portraits, maternity, newborn, smash cake, mommy and me, couples and engagements, pets, and childrens portraits.
    • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The most recent job that I am particularly proud of is a smash cake session I did with a precious 1 year old boy. We had such a great time, the lighting and weather was perfect, and the pictures needed very little editing and enhancements, if any.
