Cecily is a fantastic teacher. And I would recommend her for tutoring.
Definitely ask about online tutoring. I first did in-person tutoring and it was very good but then we switched over to online and I'm extremely happy. The flexibility is unbelievable.
My son enjoyed meeting you today. He's encouraged from this first session and looking forward to his next session. Dad enjoyed your style, enthusiasm and expertise too! And from Mom, the bonus is your help comes from your heart!
As a pre-med student, with the ultimate goal of attending medical school, I have taken several exams over the years with hopes of achieving grades that would make me a competitive applicant to medical school. The one thing that was missing from my application was a well written personal statement, which unfortunately science classes do not help prepare you for all that well. I have written lab reports and research articles but a story about my life and journey was beyond my writing abilities. Scott absolutely saved the day. His ability to explain the process of writing a story that captivates a reader was fantastic. He spent as much time with me as I needed and helped me write the perfect personal statement for medical school. Scott has helped me more than I could ever repay him and I am positive he will be able to help you with any of your writing needs as well.
Nicole Ullian tutored my daughter for the majority of her 7th grade year. Nicole took the necessary time to communicate with my daughter's current teacher to find out exactly what needed to be worked on. She took the time to make sure the covered material was completly understood, often giving my daughter extra worksheets to continue the practice of lessons at home, before an exam. My daughter was able to maintain an bonor role grade with Nicole's help. I highly recommend Nicole's tutoring services.
Catherine responded right away to our request for a reading/writing tutor. We started with her just a few weeks after our first contact. She has personalized the "curriculum" as needed and has been very responsive to our son's changing needs. Catherine has increased our son's confidence in many school-related areas due to her recognition and acknowledgement of his unique attributes and learning style. In this way, Catherine has gone above and beyond. The only way I would change our experience would be if the location were closer to our home.
In terms of educational background, I have a BA in integral liberal arts and an MA in Eastern classics. My strongest areas to tutor in are English, history, public speaking and some science. I do not tutor in high-school-level math, however. I also have an extensive knowledge of both Western and Eastern classical literature. I bring a unique approach to learning that states that we are intelligent beings capable of great things; we simply need to find ways to bring those qualities to the forefront. I believe that simply teaching oneself to memorize a list of facts--although I am quite skilled in using and teaching memorization techniques--is not enough. It is also vital to have a living, interactive connection with the subject at hand in order to learn how to learn and how to ask the right questions. My degree, otherwise known as the Great Books program, is indeed a liberal arts degree in which math, science, language (ancient Greek), and literature are studied all 4 years, but my program placed a strong emphasis on philosophy, rhetoric, and primary texts. All classes are conducted in seminar style, as per classical Greek ideals, including math and science, where students can have that living ongoing interaction with each other and the texts. With my unique educational background in the Great Books program, I believe I have the skills to help others excel and grow more confident.
She is very friendly and nice person.and her teaching skills are amazing! My son really enjoying studying with her im so happy i found her thank you!
My parents introduced me to Seleena after she taught both of my older sisters. So far, my writing ability has become stronger than before. She also helped me with SAT Prep and so on. While her mathematics aren't as strong, she teaches reading and writing very well.

My business is great, because I focus on educating through the application of a students' strengths and/or preferences. What I mean by that is I take note of their learning styles and approach the task of tutoring by focusing further lessons through that style, whether it be audio, visual or kinesthetic. I have taken what I learned from obtaining my degree in secondary education to aid students who my need an extra push that they are unable to receive for some reason, whether it be apprehension, nervousness or frustration blocking them from their full potential.
I'm an early education major with experience as a high school, and college TA. I have tutored at Kumon, working with kids from 3 to 17, so I can adapt well, depending on the conditions. I do prefer to work with elementary; however, I do tutor in general math and English.

I am good at math, and I am willing and very patient with anyone who would like to get better grades in order to complete or advance in their education.
As a teacher, I am trained and experienced in successfully understanding and interacting with everyone from small children to their teen peers, parents, school authorities, and the general public. As an author, I am trained and experienced in successfully anticipating, understanding, and guiding discourse about subjects that I know much as well as little. My latest novel published in June of 2014. (David Syfert, founder and lead tutor.) We make learning fun, for when learning is fun, learning is made easier and more memorable. Our "Math Dice Challenge" and its many variations is but one of the learning tools that are unique to us. Kids ask to play the math dice challenge. Imagine that. Kids asking if we can do math today. We also make learning relevant for the individual, which heightens the individual's intrinsic motivation and maximizes performances. We offer student-specific, academic and extra-academic tutoring services.
