I have done this for 30 years and Jon is the best I've had the privilege to work with. He sees the project and puts his heart and soul into making the end result the very best it can be. Incredibly talented and extremely gracious. I started out looking for a Hawaii-based photographer; I came away with someone I will work future schedules around in order to work with him again anywhere on the globe. You really don't need to consider anyone else for your project.

Jon did some family photos for me and my 8 month old daughter, including recreating some maternity photos I had done while I was pregnant with her. The pictures turned out great, and he was so patient with my sick, cranky baby! I would definitely hire Jon again and highly recommend him.

No such thing as a sick, cranky baby! You ladies were wonderful and I had fun! Despite the heat and the bugs, standing in that stream under the canopy of rain drenched trees made for a wonderful morning and just a picture perfect backdrop. I'd do it all again in a heartbeat! Thank you, Bonnie!

Jon was an absolute pleasure to work with and his photos turned out amazing. I have worked with a lot of photographers in my career as a PR consultant for hotels and restaurants and he is a gem. I have often times had to wait weeks for the edited images and he had them for us in no time. Five stars all the way!

I recently had the pleasure of meeting Jon and having him take photos of my family... I booked my portraits in advance and when working out location and times, he was open to what worked for us and provided some options and working in with what was convenient for us, which is important when taking photos of a 22 month old! The photos were taken, edited and and returned to me view within a couple of days i.e before our vacation had ended. Jon offered to meet again if we didn't get enough good shots of my 22 month old girl, who was more interested in the ocean than of having her photo taken (it was not necessary in the end, as the photos were beautiful). I would highly recommend Jon to take photos of your special moments!

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I always start with a clear introduction delivered with genuine aloha. There's no better way to start any relationship... not at all.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Read, read, read... watch, watch, watch. I love seeing the work of my peers, and learning how they've incorporated their creativity into their work. Most people in my field are very happy to share their "secrets."
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I don't think I decided it... it's just alway been a part of me. :)
