I've been working with Joe for several months now, so I figured it was time to write a proper review! I've never been very athletic and my "exercise confidence" has generally been pretty low. I've had gym memberships and taken group fitness classes in the past, but sticking with them was always a challenge. I wasn't sure what to expect with personal training, but I've been pleasantly surprised. Joe is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and encouraging. He values safety, so he makes sure that you use proper form/technique, asks for your feedback about how different exercises feel (during and after the workout), and adapts your workout to accommodate any concerns or injuries. He has a variety of equipment in his home gym, so he keeps things fun and interesting. Joe is VERY patient and will explain/demonstrate new techniques and exercises as many times as needed. I've been so impressed with his ability to isolate specific problem areas when I've struggled with mastering a specific lifting or exercise technique. As a result, I've seen improvements in my strength, endurance, and energy level. Finally...I have to admit that before my initial consultation with Joe, I was a *little* unsure of meeting a stranger in his home (where his training gym is). However, there is no need to worry! If his level of professionalism doesn't put you at ease, guest appearances by at least one super friendly kitty (and occasionally friendly family members) should do the trick!Mar 8, 2018Verified
I am not a hardcore lifter by any stretch of the imagination, but my own training has benefited greatly from my time working with Joe. One of Joe's strengths is that he is genuinely interested in fitness at any and all levels, from mall rat to power lifter. Joe will work to ensure that you achieve your personal fitness goals.Mar 12, 2014

Joe is an excellent coach and trainer. He starts with an evaluation of goals, an assessment of your starting point and gets right to a program for meeting your goals. Technique and education are a strong part of his program.Oct 25, 2019Verified
