With a degree in illustration and advertising photography, I have been called on to make a wide variety of photographs. People, fashion, live music, architecture, nature, and fine art are just some of the portfolios I have on offer.
I can work digitally or in more traditional methods, including alternative means of exposure, like pinhole.
I am also very experienced in Photoshop and image retouching.

Beau is one in a million. I discovered his gallery of photos online and knew immediately that he was the artist I was looking for to do a special portrait. He has the skill to understand light, and the spontaneity to capture it and reveal the purity and truth of the subject. Beau's work rekindled feelings of great photos of vintage Look and Life magazines from my childhood. His warmth and personality made the day a relaxed and enjoyable experience , and when we saw his edited collection of photos for the first time, we were absolutely thrilled with them. He did more than capture a face; he captured the spirit as well. The portraits we purchased are pieces of fine art that have us stopping and gazing at them every time we pass by. His work has breath and a pulse. I can't say enough good about our experience with him. How lucky we are to have a photographer and artist of his caliber right here in central Iowa. Garrison has done photo/design work for me over the last three years and it has been an extremely rewarding experience for me.
Whether it has been photographing my artwork and my wife's jewelry designs or designing posters using his "mad photoshop skills" Garrison is my go to photographer. And did I mention the stunning artwork? I already own over 50 of his fine art photographs and they are among my most prized possessions.
The guy is a true artist who knows how to get things done right the first time.

We have used Garrison Beau Scott Photography for our family portraits and a separate sitting for a professional head shot. We had an outstanding experience on both occasions - so easy to work with. He was very professional, and had great ideas about background, lighting etc. He worked efficiently, but never in any hurry and always allowed for ample time to capture the desired photos. The professional head shot ended up on the cover of a national publication. Highly recommended.

We had a special photo session with my work family and my personal family to commerce my 25 years as a Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual. Garrison did a great job with the group photos and the individual portraits.

Garrison videotaped, edited and prepared our wedding video in 2009. He was very professional, friendly and did excellent work. We have our special day saved for a lifetime thanks to him. He caught all of our best moments that we couldn't even remember ourselves the next day. Highly recommend.
