Very down to earth! Very knowledgeable and knows how to teach based on my skill set. Very well prepared and helped makes shopping a breeze for a person who doesn’t like to go grocery shopping. We cook on a weekly basis. And my children enjoy and rate my cooking! So far I’m passing!

Marjorie is wonderful! I cannot think of enough nice things to say about her. She is prompt, professional, incredibly encouraging ( without any hint of exasperation for my mis-steps) and she makes cooking actually fun. The best part is that after a session with her... I get to present a scrumptious dinner to my family ...and feel like a super-mom when everyone ( even the picky teenager ) asks for second helpings! She helps with everything, even giving tips on kitchen organization, recipes that can be made ahead and stored, and how to make a mix or dough that can be used in multiple different ways. For no more than a dinner out, I am getting knife skills, cooking experience, organization, produce shopping tips, yummy recipes, and great food to serve my family. The fact that Marjorie is so personable it feels like a friend giving me her kitchen secrets is icing on the cake!

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    My pricing includes instruction, recipe booklets, tools and small equipment. Additional costs would be food and additional guests at time of service. Clients can call me at any time with additional questions.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

    When I am contacted, my client and I determine the needs of the client. There are no long-term contracts, but many clients become long-term culinary students as their skills develop.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

    I am nationally certified in food service sanitation. Re-certification is required for those of us who work in restaurant situations. I work with other chefs and read many trade magazines to keep up on the latest trends in foods. Foodies do that!
