Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I practice a blend of gentle Japanese Acupuncture and time-tested 'secret' Chinese Acupuncture styles. I have studied with several of the most famous acupuncturists in the US, and have spent 20 years refining my style. I additionally have extensive training in Chinese herbal medicine, as well as nutritional counseling based on medical science research. Our office is relaxing, our staff is friendly and supportive, and our treatments are effective. We have an excellent reputation in our community and receive most of our referrals from satisfied patients. We have clients who have participated with us for as many as 17 years, due to our excellent care, our integrity, our expertise, and our continued striving for education and refinement of our work. I absolutely love my work. I am never bored, never tire of doing acupuncture. Everyday I get new challenges and have the opportunity to help more people. My field of expertise is one in which I can continue to learn and grow for the rest of my working life. My goal is to support as many people as possible in reaching their health and wellness goals. This can happen in many ways in my clinic. My skills as a mental health counselor as well as acupuncturist are brought to bear on each situation. I also love the independence and challenge of having my own business. There is always more to learn, and it is a great environment for my creativity. We are always looking for more ways to improve our clinic and help more people.

FAQs

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

When seeking acupuncture, look for a practitioner who is certified by the NCCAOM, having passed the highly demanding national board exam. Look for someone with many years experience, and someone who has lots of post-graduate training. Licensed acupuncturists in Iowa are required to have continuing education, and are NCCAOM board-certified, as well as being required to use only sterile, single-use, disposable needles. They have three to four years of graduate level training and usually hold Master's degrees in the field. Avoid practitioners who claim to be 'certified' as this is not necessarily the same as NCCAOM certification. Other healthcare providers in Iowa, such as MDs and Chiropractors, are not required to have much training before doing acupuncture, and are not required to have continuing education in the area. They are also not required to use disposable needles. Their training is usually not as broad or as deep as that of a licensed acupuncturist in our state.
