Event to prep for
I Love my experience with Stephen with Fortitude Fitness, He makes me videos, on different exercises, suggestions on different foods and recipes, with the arthritis issues, very over weight, it's been a very good experience, started out slow if there is anything I want to know he will research for me, down 120# back to working full-time, He has showed me how to eat with the arthritis, he has showed me someone cares about your health and well being, never give up on yourself like I once had, you can do it, I have a little ways to go, but at 62 I now know I can do it!Jan 3, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Per session rates are only available to clients in a “normal” BMI looking to gain muscle/increase coordination, mobility, etc. The per session rate is $40/session. Training for an extra person is only an extra $25. For speaking engagements and presentations geared towards nutrition, mindset, goal setting, habits, and general physical wellness, my rate is $150/hr. For clients who want to reconfigure their bodies (fat loss), it is important to emphasize the commitment required. For those with 40 or more lbs to lose, this will likely require 12 or more months to healthily reach your goal. For those who have less than 40 lbs to lose, a good commitment would be around 2 months for each 10lbs you wish to lose. There are two options available: In-person training commitments are available at a rate of $300/mo, OR Online training commitments are available at a rate of $150/mo. Included with both options: -Weekly Personal Wellness Call (nutrition, habit formation, stress management, self-image, etc) -Weekly Lesson -Daily Accountability text (Or less frequently, as desired) -Membership in Facebook Support Group (as available) -Access and enrollment in Precision Nutrition’s ProCoach program (over a $1,000/yr value!) In-person Coaching price includes monthly programming updates & in-between session cardio programming delivered via in-person and/or video options. Online Coaching price includes monthly programming updates & in-between session cardio programming delivered through NASM’s EDGE app.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer? We will start out with some basic health history and assessments during our first meeting. We’ll talk about goals and go from there. It’s important to learn what YOUR goals are, and why those goals are important to you. To learn about what your life looks like and what challenges you may face as you look to make changes for the better. This is your story. I’m just here to help you become a better you! Assessments will include an overhead squat assessment, possible other physical assessments (such as push-pull, upper-lower body) and cardio assessment. We’ll also get initial measurements (scale, tape measurements or skin-fold calipers). I follow the NASM OPT model for maximizing safe training. For everybody, this begins with the stabilization endurance phase, before moving onto the strength endurance phase, and then other phases based upon goals. Each phase lasts approximately 4 weeks, and depending on goals, phases are cycled through every 3-5 months. For weight loss, we’ll also look at your macronutrient numbers, your daily calorie goal, sleep, hydration, stress, support team, fiber intake, water-dense vs calorie-dense foods, etc and then you’ll decide your greatest priority and we’ll go from there!
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I am a certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and a certified nutrition coach through Precision Nutrition. I’m also working on a pre & post-natal training certification, and a Corrective Exercise Specialization.
