Cecilia also directs and is the master teacher of StarBelly School of Dance, that offers weekly belly dance classes in the Boise area, ranging from beginning to advanced, and will offers the SEEDs program (Self Esteem, Empowerment, & Education through Dance) a 9 month long after school program for teenage girls. Packages offered: Belly-gram This is a mini belly dance performance (8-10 minutes in length). This option is ideal for smaller parties or surprise gifts. $150 Classic 5 part Belly Dance Package A solo dancer (or dancers) will perform for between 20-40 minutes. The first half of the performance is a 5 part traditional belly-dance routine incorporating: Part 1- a fast lively entrance dance while paying Sagat or Zills (finger cymbals) Part 2- a melodic & mesmerizing veil dance Part 3- a passionate and emotionally charged Taqsim (Instrumental solo) Part 4 -a strong and sassy lock & pop drum solo Part 5- and ending with a more traditional piece of your choice (Saidi and Cane, Baladi, Lebanese) You get to choose the specific style and performers of belly dance music, the costuming, from more traditional and conservative, to more modern Raqs Sharqi attire. We would also be happy to choose for you. If you would like to have us dance with additional props like, sword, cane, and/or double veil, that is also available by request. We will also be available after the show for pictures with your guests.
If appropriate, the second half of the show is usually more focused on audience participation. The guest of honor may be asked to belly dance! Everyone on their feet and dancing by the end of the show! This is a great idea for weddings and larger parties. A: The belly dancer provides an Arabic music CD and the venue should provide the sound system. Usually the dancer will stay out of sight until the CD has begun playing. Q: Is tipping appropriate?
