Introduction: Shopdog Woodworking provides custom furniture building, refinishing and repurposing. We spend time getting to know our customer’s needs to provide them with the exact finished product they were dreaming of.
Our goal is to make every project we refinish better than the original product and all new construction to exceed the current quaintly of mass produced furniture and cabinetry.
I really enjoy taking a piece that has seen better days and giving it new life. I love to repair broken parts to the level that the owner can’t tell where the original damage occurred.
I refurbished an antique cedar chest awhile back and the greatest compliment for me was the person saying, “it looks better than I ever remembered it as s child.”
Using my skills to serve others is the great part of my work.

It's not often I give a review of 100% but working with Jeff was an exceptional experience. His expertise was first class, but more than that, the deep thought he gives to every project is very unique.
I have to admit I hired Jeff way back in 2012 for a some small but very classy Oak Wall Caps and it was so good I held onto his number because I knew that I would require his expertise again one day. That was a smart move on my part. This project was a Travel Trailer. He helped us go from a deluxe King size bed without extra seating to a modified Queen size bed with a sofa as well as an assortment of other improvements. WE couldn't be happier..

I had a HUGE piece of artwork (82" x 65", oddly shaped, six sides with weird angles) that I wanted to get framed, but no "regular" framer had the equipment to do the job. After trying to find someone for a fair amount of time, I was finally referred to Jeff Watson, and even though he was super busy (and moving into a new house!), he agreed to tackle the project. To say that it was complex is to greatly understate the case, and Jeff himself told me that it was one of the most technical jobs he had ever done ... The art was a family piece that I'd had for a really long time, so I was prepared to do whatever it took to finally get it framed, and Jeff did an absolutely FABULOUS job ... built the frame, stretched the piece, attached the molding AND installed it at my home ... not to mention handling the acquisition of everything needed along the way (molding, hardware, etc.) The piece is stunning, something you would see in a gallery or museum, and I could not have gotten it done without Jeff -- He was literally the only person I could find who had the skills to do a project like this; I searched and searched, and nobody else would do it ... I can't say how grateful I am to Jeff that I finally have this wonderful piece done after all these years ... He was an absolute pleasure to work with, and I would recommend him to anyone for just about any project ... He clearly knows what he's doing and is willing to work with you on projects that virtually everybody else thinks are impossible ... Highest recommendations possible from me ... Will definitely use him again for any future projects!!

Needed a door made for antique grandfathers clock. People at woodworking store recommended Jeff. Jeff was very professional and attentive to our needs and concerns, He took a good bit of time explaining what could and couldn’t be done with our project. We paid half of estimate before work started with contract to pay balance after work was done. To our surprise he was able to do work well below estimate. Our final bill was far less than anticipated. I mention this, which he said was rare, so don’t expect that should you have him work with you, to stress his honesty. He could well have charged us the full estimated amount and we wouldhave never known the difference. Can’t recommend him high enough.
