Pastor Phil was such a delight to work with! He made the process very easy, & provided us with a beautiful ceremony! Our guests are still laughing about his jokes! He somehow was able to blend some spirituality with humor & balanced it with a poetic appreciation of love & marriage. I certainly would recommend him to everyone! Thank you so much, Phil! We will cherish the memories for a lifetime! His wife, Bettina, also completed a beautiful backdrop for us - she was so professional to work with, & even got set up early! The minister Phil was absolutely outstanding!! I rate him alone 5 stars and would recommend him to everyone I know. His wife on the other hand (who is a wedding planner which we chose NOT to hire) came in last second and started barking orders and all my bridesmaids and myself, the bride, and I was very unhappy with that. I truly wish she wouldn't have come at all to be honest. I did not appreciate her coming in and causes chaos at the very last second right befor I was to walk down the aisle, and for that reason alone i am rating them 4 stars.Nov 22, 2016VerifiedPhil and Bettina D.'s reply
My wife assisted in the processional because there was confusion and she is a professional. She did not charge for this service and was merely helping where help was needed to make your wedding all that it could be. You will notice the other, very positive, reviews concerning her help. I am sorry that you thought she caused chaos, but I assure you, she prevented chaos.
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?Wedding and Event planning begins at $650. Services are customizable. Decorating rentals are available. Officiant services begin at $75 for an elopement ceremony. Wedding ceremonies and rehearsals range between $150 and $250.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?We meet our customers for a free consultation before hiring giving us a chance to get to know one another, and giving me a chance to understand their individual desires for their ceremony/event. We meet individually if they are in need of only one of our services (i.e. officiant or wedding/event planner). Once hired we are at your service and keep in contact via phone or email. Most important to know is that we listen.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?Officiant Phil went to the Jesus Christ Light and Power House Bible School and then to Azusa Pacific University where he received his BA in Religion (Bible and Biblical theology). He has worked with many churches and heads up Oil and Wine Ministries in Boise, ID. He has officiated many weddings in Idaho, California, and Nevada. Bettina received her wedding and event certification from Penn Foster. In addition she organized and coordinated many weddings prior to her training since 2000, and many more since her graduation and the opening of Agape Ceremonies and Events.
