Introduction: Having a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography I understand historic contexts that go into each and every picture. This also better equips me to convey in photographs exactly what my client wants to communicate. My goal is to make you feel confident and comfortable as we work through your shoot, and when you look back on the photographs we created together. I'm easy to work with and to be around. I will do my absolute best to make sure I produce photographs you are head over heals for.

Shelby Jo Photography is by far the best photographer I have ever had the pleasure to hire. Not only is she professional, but she has exceptional talent as well. I tend to be a bit camera shy but she made me feel incredibly comfortable and confident. You cannot go wrong by picking her for your next big event or personal photo session!

FAQs

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

I like to have a short consultation to get to know you and get a feel for the kind of vibes you're looking for during your shoot. Then after finding out a little more information I will pitch you what I'm thinking and from there we can make Magic happen!

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I acquired a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from Seattle University.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Growing up I had always found ways to make little photoshoots with my friends, but it wasn't until I took yearbook in high school that I realized I really loved taking photographs. I had an acquaintance who did sports photography professionally and let me shadow him at a game, and that was that. I immediately fell in love and knew I had to figure out how to do this for the rest of my life.
