FAQs
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
Recently, I had the opportunity to help an Army Veteran who was legally blind due to his injuries in the service of our country. I was able to show him how to use a Magnifier and Narration feature to help his computer be fully accessible to him, despite his disability. He is now able to use his computer with ease. Although my service to him doesn't even skim the surface of the magnitude of his service to me, I was honored to be able to help and spend time with one of our faithful soldiers. It feels great to have made his life a little bit easier. I have been back a few more times to set up other computers with these features, and to install a few programs. I am happy to say he is doing very well, and I feel I can call him my friend instead of just my customer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Look for someone who asks you a lot of questions. Asking questions is essential, it lets us learn about the problem as much as possible before we come out to repair your computer -- and this saves you the most money. Experienced technicians know that many problems need some research before they can properly be repaired -- and we spend the time before-hand and come prepared with up-to-date information on all of the latest problems. Another tip - Don't be shy. If you don't feel that your problem is taken care of properly, let them know and tell them why. Make sure you are happy with the service before you write your check.
