My daughter took singing lessons from Andy as part of her senior project, and he was such an amazing teacher to her, patient, very knowledgeable, flexible, and with a great sense of humor. We could not have asked for a better teacher!! I recommend him without hesitation. Anne
My teenager wakes up on Saturday mornings for piano lessons! That's how good Harmony is! Can't recommend it enough.
Didn't actually get to take lessons however she was very
Excellent teacher kids really enjoy lessons now.
Sarah makes guitar lessons productive, affordable and FUN! She is so kind (and patient -haha!) and really knows the world of guitar. Her classical training means that even if we dip into the world of rock and jazz, we will do it properly. She's also an amazing partner in songwriting. I highly recommend Sarah!
Vocal lessons in her home studio. New, clean and well appointed environment. Professional, with both academic and performance understanding of music. Personally skilled and able to communicate those skills to kids. Leads kids into many music genre's and vocal styles to expand their appreciation for music and develop their range of tonal expression. Works on developing breathing, and shape of throat, mouth and position of teeth, tongue and lips into a capable and flexible instrument. Can see a significant change in the quality and diversity of spontaneous singing around our home. Looking forward to seeing this continue to develop.
Our children have been taking piano lessons with Mr. Slaughter for the past 5 years. He is an amazing music teacher who passes on his love for playing the piano to his students. Our kids enjoy their lessons and have grown tenfold under Mr. Slaughter's teaching. I would recommend Mr. Slaughter to anyone interested in giving their children the gift of music. You would be hard pressed to find a better piano teacher.
Esther's love for all things musical borders on all-out nerdiness. She can talk in-depth about everything from operatic to Radiohead. That makes her an engaging and convincing coach. Her broad knowledge enabled her to cater my vocal lessons to the style I was looking for, which was probably different than a lot of vocal students. She's patient, practical, smiles a lot and will be enthusiastic about the direction you want to go. I've been singing untrained for years, and she was able to pinpoint everything about my singing that DID work and what NEEDED work very quickly. I would absolutely recommend her services. Esther is tremendous.
She's great with kids. Very patient and kind.
I began taking piano lessons with Jeremy in February two years ago as an intermediate student. i had not taken lessons for approximately 45 years so getting back into it was very exciting. I was so lucky to have found Jeremy. The experience with him has been so rewarding. I feel I have learned more in my two years with Jeremy than all the12 years of study in the early years of my life. Jeremy is the ideal instructor. He is very positive, loves what he does, and is very supportive. I enjoy the challenges he gives me and the work we accomplish together. From Evelyn Frank
We provide opportunities for multi-generational lessons for students from toddlerhood through adulthood. We teach through mutual collaboration in our individual Lessons and group Hootenannies. We inspire our students to play music in their own homes, so we invite them to play music in our cozy home studio environment instead of an isolated practice room. Our students not only learn their instrument of emphasis at their lessons, but enjoy dabbling on many other instruments during the Hootenanny sessions. Hootenannies are a group learning experience emphasizing: -"Open mic” performance time -A featured instrument demonstration -A multi-instrumental jam session -Easy chord-theory application in a common key We find our approach allows our students to become true musicians as they understand how to apply their learning with group playing and transfer their skills to other instruments. We teach the following instruments: Violin/fiddle Guitar Piano Drum set Harmonica Banjo Ukulele Mandolin Cajon Shuitar & Percussion
I offer guitar lessons available in Boise area. I do private one on one lessons for $60 a month. Learn to play acoustic or electric guitar in different styles. I teach different age groups in learning to play guitar, more than just some method from a book. I had formal studies in Music Composition and Guitar at Boise State, and have 30 years experience in playing. Lessons are in a comfortable, relaxed place to have fun while learning.
I am able to teach piano, guitar, voice, and music lessons. I have many years of professional musical playing experience as well as 15 years of teaching music.
I teach my students the fundamentals of guitar to start. I make sure they know how to read music, and play simple chords/riffs. After a while, I introduce more complex techniques.
I provide dance classes for three years old to adult. Lessons include tap, jazz, gymnastics, creative movement, hip-hop, lyrical and ballet. I also offer piano lessons to beginners and intermediate players.
I'm a student so I enjoy learning just as much as my students. I believe I can learn as much from them as they can learn from me.
Hello, and thank you for looking on Thumbtack for a private instructor! I teach piano, voice, and guitar to beginner through intermediate levels. I work with each individual and help them gain understanding and competence in what they want to do as a musician. I work with you at your own pace. I have a studio, which is not wheelchair accessible, and for those who are disabled, I will travel to you. I charge more to travel, but I charge everyone for the month in advance. At the studio, I charge $25 per half-hour lesson and $45 per hour. So for 4 weeks, that would equal $100 or $180. If there are five lessons in a month, then the price is adjusted accordingly, i.e., $125 and $225. If I am traveling to you, my prices are $35 per half hour and $55 per hour. My location is 5 minutes north of the airport and 6 minutes west of downtown Boise. The address is 355 N Orchard, upstairs in Suite 207.
