Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: One word: Passion (but that's true about all creatives, isn't it?). All creatives have their own style, and not all styles fit all clients. But if you feel my style is what you are looking for, then you'll find nobody more dedicated to your project as I would be. I'm easy to get along with, and value your suggestions (but I'm not afraid to disagree, always providing a reason)

Lori Corbett is an outstanding web designer. I hired her to design and build my author website and blog. She didn't just meet my expectations—she exceeded them. Not only is she skilled technically, but also she's fantastically creative, easy to work with, and extremely responsive (both in terms of returning phone calls/emails and in terms of altering her approach to design based on my feedback). She is intensely committed to doing a good job and is a professional through and through. I can't recommend her highly enough. My author site is: www.alexlickerman.com.

My experience working with Lori was and continues to be exceptional. She is communicative, timely with response and always ready to roll up her sleeves to get the job done or solve an unexpected problem. Lori was hired to set up a new website for me, she dug deep into the code to customize a robust wordpress template and tackled a long list of customized requests (web fonts, custom pin buttons, etc). I recommend her without hesitance and look forward to hiring her for more projects in the future!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I usually quote a flat rate, and require a down payment of 30% to start. Then 30% at the next agreed to milestone, and the balance upon completion / delivery. Some projects are harder to give a flat fee quote on, and must be done hourly. My hourly rate is $50.00 (but I tend to be very generous with my time). The balance must be paid prior to me releasing the finished work. If there are major changes to the scope of a flat rate project, I will give you an estimate of the additional cost. Work will not commence until you have agreed on the additional fee. I don't believe in handing my clients a surprise.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

It's essential to stay on top of the latest trends, software and standards - so my education is ongoing, whether it be from tutorials, books or online webinars and courses.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Be ready to be asked a LOT of questions.
