- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I really wanted to be veterinarian and I got in to a school by Chicago but at the time life had other plans for me. I had to take care of my niece a lot because she wasn't in a good situation. So I went to a local college didn't know what I wanted to do and then I got Certifed as a pharm tech and 9 years went by, you know the usual story. I started going back to school but I have an autoimmune arthritis and the stress got to me with class, work, a little one in school, my niece, taking care of the house, getting married. They all seem to happen like dominos falling really fast so I went back to what I originally have always had a passion for and that is animals. I've had so many cats and dogs, along with a lizard, chickens, turkeys, pigs, cattle, sheep, turtles. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that my grandpa was a farmer so I've been around animals of all kinds since birth.
