Julio and Ray were awesome. I had a difficult situation with other movers after they did not show up on time. and they were great at helping me out at the last minute. They were super hardworking and fast and I was impressed by how quickly they were able to move everything down my stairs. They also had a difficult situation with the freight elevator because my building I was moving into was going to close the freight elevator before they were done, but they improvised and got everything up super quickly. They were very kind and super efficient. I don't know what I would have done without their help!!!!! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
Overall, great experience. Guys arrived early, did a great job loading the truck and were very professional. My only knock on the entire experience was that they took a while. We were hoping to stay below a certain price point and it ended up going 2 hrs longer than expected, which meant we went over budget. It was a hot day, and we were moving out of a high-rise, so certainly plenty of reasons to take a while, but it took longer than expected.
We hired this service to move a large sectional sofa and a very heavy coffee table from one house to another. The 2 men were professional, courteous, and completed the job without any damage to the furniture and within the 2 hours they proposed, so they came in on-budget. I would definitely hire this service again.
I wish that we could give SafeHands more than 5 starts! We requested quotes a little late (middle May) for an early June move. Melvin responded right away and was willing to work with our budget to make sure that we were completely satisfied. He even said they are customer-focused and are willing to do what they can to make the customer happy. This is so rare for moving companies, and even in the initial process, we did not have a similar experience. We knew if the move went as well as the initial conversation, we would be extremely satisfied. We had to push our move back one week due to a family situation, and Melvin was very flexible in allowing us to reschedule our move and was so kind and understanding when I told him about our situation. On moving day, the movers called to check if they would be able to come a bit earlier than scheduled. Once we said that it was fine, they arrived about an hour before the scheduled window and got to work right away! They were so polite and professional and kept asking us what else they could move for us (even just small boxes and things we were capable of moving ourselves). They were extremely careful with all of our furniture and spent so much time to make sure that they placed it exactly where we wanted it in our new home. We have a complicated bedframe and they took a lot of time to make sure that it was put together correctly. Prior to moving, we heard so many horror stories with moving companies rushing through the job, not showing up on time, or just being a bad experience overall. Our moving team was certainly not rushed and spent over five hours with us to move a 1BR apartment downtown Chicago to a more residential area in North Center. Moving is not fun, but SafeHands certainly made the experience more pleasant. We would HIGHLY recommend SafeHands movers for any of your moving needs, and SafeHands has earned a new customer for life. Thank you Melvin and team! We cannot thank you enough.

Alliance was the best moving experience, from the first phone call to the final handshake. I found them using Thumbtack, and within the first hour of submitting my request, I was contacted by Phyllis to schedule an on-site estimation. We scheduled a date and time that worked, and on that date, right on time, they showed up and gave me a very thorough in-person review of everything I'd need packed and shipped. They were the only moving company who came out for an in-person estimate (others either just wanted a list of things, or did a "virtual" estimate, but Alliance went that extra miles to really see for themselves what we needed to move, helping us feel confident we were on the same page for the quote.) We had a special situation that would spread our move out over several days, requiring us to store items on their truck (essentially locking up one of their trucks for a couple nights, preventing them from using it) and they offered me a very reasonable quote for all the services, including storage. We called no fewer than 6 other moving companies, and despite other companies having more "word of mouth" recommendations from friends, nobody was able to meet or beat Alliance's service and quote - and this was even BEFORE any actual moving started. We just felt the most comfortable and cared for with Alliance, so we went with them. Absolutely no regrets - they made what was a stressful move into a breeze. The team came in, packed up everything that was odd-shaped like lamps and mirrors, and were very careful with my already-packed delicate items and breakable kitchen stuff. They had our 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom (3rd floor WALKUP) condo cleared out within 4 hours, and with smiles on all of their faces. They even were so sweet to our two dogs; I even loved the shirts they wore that said "If your dog doesn't like someone, maybe you shouldn't either" or something like that - well, our dogs were very comfortable with them despite the stressful situation of strangers taking away all of their stuff! That's how you know they're good guys :) Two days later, they rolled up again, and had our new house moved in within 3 hours again. The final bill came in under-budget and 100% perfect - nothing scratched, broken, or damaged. I would recommend Alliance to anyone looking for movers who care, who really focus on customer service from start to finish, and who really go that extra mile to make your move less stressful. Let's face it, moving sucks, but Alliance is the best at making it an actually pleasant experience. Thank you Alliance!
Chano and work team are top notch! Chano was very detail oriented and took the time to explain each part of the work plan. He was open and honest about the cost of materials, and made sure we agreed to any additional work needed. A-Plus is a team that is genuinely interested in creating a quality product, but will try to keep the costs as low as possible. I think we all learned quite a bit about Benjamin Moore's new Natura Paint which was a little harder to apply, but looks great. We're very happy with the work performed by Chano and A-Plus!
What an absolutely treat! This is my 11th move since 2003 and this crew were the best I have ever used. They were running a few minutes late because of traffic and quickly gave me a call to let me know . It was a rainy day move, and they had big smiles on their faces and we enjoyed some quitting back and forth banter. I won’t be moving any time soon but I can recommend them without hesitation. They also finished ahead of schedule and under budget 👍🏻👍🏻
They were great. We had a hicup in moving on a weekend and had to reschedule and Joe was completely accommodating. On the day of moving Joe and another mover were on time and even helped pick up the u-haul. We had about 15 medium and heavy duty boxes along with some basic furniture and they helped load everything in 45 mins and was done very carefully. I would definitely recommend these guys for accommodating us even 1 day before we moved and being super easy to work with.
They handled all of or pre-packed boxes and all our furniture with care. We have some exspensive pieces and had a negative experience with a previous move/moving company, so it was refreshing to have a good experience. There was great communication throughout, and did an excellent job fitting everything into our storage unit. The only problem, was we planned to pay by credit card. We were told by the office that was fine a few days in advance, and that there would be a 3% charge, which we were ok with. The head mover told us this was fine when he arrived, then proceeded to have us fill out the paperwork. At the end of the move he then came to us and said he couldn't get ahold of the office and we'd have to pay by cash. He said if we didn't pay by cash we'd have to wait endlessly to hear back from the office. We didn't believe what he was saying, but obliged because we were on a time constraint. We felt a little scammed and are now unsure if we will use them again when we complete the second part of our move this summer. We'd probably require written communication from them, that we will exclusively pay by card and there will not be any other options the day of.
I would recommend Pick Up Movers to anyone intending to move and working on a budget. From a personal experience, these guys are the best the market can offer. My experience with them was positive right from when I first contacted them asking for a quote for moving my house stuff from Illinois to Tennessee. There were no hidden costs and Frank, the customer assistant was so open to any further queries. This made me feel needed as a client and more assured that I was dealing with the right company.
I would highly recommend Travis and his crew for any moving needs. With my recent move I had a very nice experience with him. Travis himself visited my house ahead of time to provide me with an accurate and realistic quote for my move. On the day of the move they arrived on time and were very thorough and organized with the job. They took care of securely packing, loading, transporting and unloading the furniture and all the booxes. They also took care or de-assembling and re-assembling the beds and other large furniture as needed. Moreover they were value for money and highly professional !

Will and Victory 1 were amazing! We are first time homeowners and the walls and ceiling are in rough shape. I was able to get him out for an estimate quickly and he was also able to start with less than a weeks notice. He was super polite, personable, informative and helpful. He was also very respectful of my budget and unlike others didn’t try to guilt me for him to to the whole place. He gave me estimates for a variety of projects and let me choose what was best for us. He even walked through and gave me tips and suggestions on the areas I’d be doing myself. He responded to my silly questions for advice on primer etc via text as well. He and his team were really quick and efficient and did a fantastic job. They went above and beyond and when I got there, in addition to the ceilings, he had spackled entire home (both floors), we had only hired him to do the ceilings and repair one damaged wall! He also stepped in to help with the wall and trim over the stairway when we realized we’d have some issues getting to it ourselves. I highly recommend Will and Victory 1 and will definitely call them again for any future projects. Thank you!
Nice movers, on time, efficient, worked there butts off on one of the hottest days of the summer, up and down multiple flights of stairs for 2.5 hours and never once complained and or asked for a break. I had to remind them to take a break. Highly recommend their services if you have to move fast one a budget. The only thing they didn't offer were moving supplies and a truck.
Payless moving inc staff was very professional and punctual. They did there work in a timely manner and were very courteous.
I was referred to Jason by my leasing consultant when I was planning a move to my current apartment back in June. Jason is very friendly and detail-oriented. He came to my old apartment and did an estimate, he clearly explained the breakdown of the estimate. I must say he and his team went above and beyond. The one and only elevator at my new place was under maintenance during my move, Jason did not charge me extra for that. He did most of the leg work moving my furnitures and boxes up 4 levels! I bet he lost couple lbs after that day hehe! Without him and his team, my move would not have been that smooth and efficient. That was why I referred him to my friend in July, and I am sure they took great care of her! Thank you once again for all the hard work, Jason! You guys are more than amazing! I will definitely recommend you to my friends, and if I move again, you are definitely my go-to person!
