About

I was very pleased with Jerry's massage. I received a 2 hour massage. I am a very busy person and he was able to accommodate my busy schedule. His technique was exactly what I was looking for just enough pressure to help me relax but not so much that it hurt. I have been to many other therapists but I can not say that they have understood the body as well as he does. I am a professional massage therapist and I always appreciate it when a therapist is able to really work on the body in a way that truly brings relaxation.

Brian is so wonderful, very in touch with my needs and super knowledgeable! Upon first meeting him he made me feel very comfortable. We are currently working on releasing my abdominal adhesions and by my second treatment I started feeling better already!

About

I came in with terrible lower back pain. Shawn took the time determine the cause and figure out the best approach for my condition. After my first visit, my pain level was cut in half and after the second visit it was gone! I couldn't believe how much Shawn has helped me in such a short period of time. I would recommend Shawn at Cassady Massage Therapy to any and everyone! Don't waste time with drugs. Get a Massage from Shawn!

About

Gloria is the best massage therapist (and one of the nicest human beings) I have ever met. She is so knowledgeable about the body and works you so thoroughly that she has always resolved even my toughest pain. She also teaches you stretches and self-care techniques to keep you well. She's one of the few professionals I'd never consider "cheating on" with another therapist, even for half the price! She is truly the best.

About

Our massage services provides you freedom from pain. Our services include: • Deep tissue massage is a technique that loosens chronic patterns of tension in the body through deep finger pressure and slow strokes on contracted areas, either following or going across the grains of fascia, muscles and tendons. • Swedish massage is a system of long strokes, friction and kneading techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with passive and active movements of the joints. • Hot stone massage is a massage technique, used in combination with other modalities, in which warmed stones are placed on points—such as acupuncture points—and are sometimes used as massage tools. • Trigger point therapy, also known as neuromuscular or myotherapy, is a method that puts concentrated finger pressure to trigger points to break cycles of spasm and pain. • Sports massage is designed to improve athletic performance and recovery. There are 3 contexts in which sports massage can be useful to an athlete—in pre-event, post-event and injury treatment. • Stretching (sport specific or yoga) • Muscle Release TechniqueSM (see below for a description ) The Muscle Release TechniqueSM is an extraordinary injury therapy that combines extension, compression, breath, and movement to give the therapist a tool to give, in many cases, relief from pain in a treatment. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM, scar tissue is broken up, the muscle memory is restored, muscle is lengthened, and relief from pain starts immediately. This technique changed the way I worked as a massage therapist. MRTSM is derived from a technique developed in Europe. For the past few years, MRTSM has been applied to acute and chronic soft tissue problems; the results have been very successful. The technique was taught to me by Michael Young, a NCTMB Instructor. I've had tremendous success using this technique with chronic and acute soft tissue injuries. The result of the method of treating the injury—the resulting adhesions and scar tissue and shortened muscles—is the reason for the success of the Muscle Release TechniqueSM. Tendonitis is due to the muscle becoming too short or tight from repetitive use. Deep tissue work only breaks up scar tissue and adhesions, but does nothing in lengthening the muscle and relieving muscle pulling on the attachment site. In applying Muscle Release TechniqueSM, we not only break up scar tissue, we lengthen the muscle, resulting in more flexibility and relieving nerve pain and impingement. By using this technique frequently, the muscle memory is restored, and most pain sufferers get relief. All massage therapists and physical therapists know that when there's an injury to the muscle, the result is a scar tissue. Scar tissue will keep the muscle inflexible, shortening the muscle length. After a period of time, the muscle memory is lost, increasing the chance of re-injury. Nerve impingement is almost always connected with this condition, resulting in pain. Cross fiber work and/or deep tissue massage will only give the client temporary relief. With the Muscle Release TechniqueSM, the client is placed in particular positions, so that the muscle begins to stretch in a very specific direction of plane. Pressure is then applied directly into the focal point of the affected tissue. The combination of a precise pinpoint compression, specific extension, and an exact plane of movement, while working with the breath, could produce an immediate release. The scar tissue is then broken up, and the muscle length is restored. The result? There is no more pain for the client! Muscle Release TechniqueSM is a way of treating the injury and the scar tissue and resilient adhesions, and that is primary reason for the success of the it. Using Muscle Release TechniqueSM regularly not only prevents injuries, but helps to achieve a speedy recovery. Our rates are as follows: • $75 per 1-hour session - we offer 25% off for 1st-time clients which is $55 • $105 per 90-minute session • $95 per 1-hour and 15-minute hot stone session - we also offer $15 off for each referral given

About

We provide professional and relaxing therapeutic massage services in order to provide our clients with a variety of benefits. Some of the more common benefits our patients experience are as follows: * reduced pain * reduced stiffness and motion limitations * reduced muscular and emotional stress * increased flexibility * increased blood flow * enhanced soft tissue healing Having experienced tremendous benefit from bodywork, I, myself, am pleased to be able to offer such a powerful healing tool. I, too, was skeptical of the power of manual therapy, but having received treatment, I, then, became an advocate. I, then, trained in what I believe to be the most powerful massage styles, mainly tuina, Thai, shiatsu, craniosacral, and others. I have equipped myself with an array of treatment tools for all types of pains and discomforts, as well as stress-related and relaxation-based techniques that treat the muscles, ligaments, tendons, joints, and even more importantly, the energetic component of the body's/meridians and energetic pathways.
