SEO is an on-going process. The best way to describe it would be going to a doctor for a check up. You don't know what is wrong until the doctor does all of their tests and diagnoses the problem, then fixes the problem. The same way we approach any new client looking for SEO is to do in depth reports on target markets and keywords. After our initial analysis we make recommendations and execute.
