It was great working with Joe. He was always available by phone and email. He answered all the questions we had before booking him for our wedding. I was a little disappointed in the sound quality during our wedding ceremony. The microphone kept cutting in and out. We weren't video recording our ceremony, but if we were, I would've been very disappointed with the sound afterwards. He tried to fix the microphone during our ceremony, but the quality remained the same. Joe played some songs while our pianist and violinist were setting up inside to play during the cocktail hour. He played great music all night and even accommodated us for our last minute changes for the bridal party introductions for the reception. My fiance sent him the info the night before our wedding and he still made it happen. Overall we had a great experience with Joe and he really helped make our wedding day memorable. We also booked an open air photobooth with Joe and his helper, Alex(sp?) was a great help. He encouraged people to take pictures and went to ask Joe for help when there were any issues with the photo booth camera. Joe had sent examples for the photo booth strip designs and I wasn't a fan of the designs he sent. I looked up other ideas on the internet and sent him designs for what I liked. He was able to create something that looked great for the wedding. I didn't see the design before the wedding, I would've liked to, however my fiance and I waited until the last minute to take care of this because of other things we had deal with. Overall... A+!!! Donna. Was. INCREDIBLE. I hired her for our wedding of over 120 people. She was not only a bartender, but literally a hostess. Many people (even my notoriously critical grandmother) commented on how she was everywhere doing everything - making a mean drink, clearing plates, making coffee, everything - and being so kind and pleasant and joyous in the process. Plus she came by to make me (the bride) a plate of food for dinner! She helped me make the list of what I would need, and worked with the drinks and mixers I provided to make even better drinks than I imagined. I requested an additional server to support her which she easily provided, and he was amazing as well. She was worth double the price and I can't recommend her enough.

Wedding Planner Full Service I couldn't have better things to say about working with Rick and Special Occasion Events . We booked a full wedding planning package and MC. And Throughout the planning process, Valerie and Rick were attentive, organized and resourceful. Valerie helped to alleviate any additional stress leading up to the wedding by providing helpful tips and resources that kept me and my husband on track for our big day. She made the wedding planning process so much better. She went out of her way to accommodate us in many occasion . She make sure we were happy with every decision we made about our vendors and work professionally with every vendor. And on our rehearsal day and made sure all of our attendants (and little ones!) knew exactly what they were doing, and made it fun and enjoyable throughout. On our wedding day, I knew I had absolutely nothing to stress about because Valeri and Rick were on it. Every little detail, every step of the way. I couldn't have asked for a better planner and MC and am so grateful that we picked Special Occasion Events to help us throughout our wedding planning. Because my wedding was outside, in the rainy June season in good ol Chicago, I went back and forth with tent sizes, tent quantity, and side walls. As much of a pain as I was, Stacie made sure every request was fulfilled and every question I had was answered. She made me feel confident that my wedding would turn out perfect, rain or shine, and that she would do everything to make sure I had the proper tenting. It didn't rain, however, I am still so thankful for how easy and wonderful they were to work with! Thank you for being a part of making my wedding better than I dreamed;)

I originally thought I was going to DIY my wedding but when Charlene answered my request I knew that was going to be the best decision I ever made to hire her. IT WAS! I am so glad I did not DIY my wedding. I would give Elegant Wedding Design 100 stars! She made my special wedding day more perfect than I could have ever imagined. People in my family were second guessing the event space I had chosen because it was small and they couldn't see the vision that I had. Charlene truly transformed the space into a beautiful, elegant and luxurious wedding venue. Every single one of my guests were blown away and in awe as soon as they stepped into the ceremony and saw Charlene's magical beauty she created. She was so engaging, kind and truly made sure every detail of my vision was accomplished. She gave great ideas and expertise. I trusted every decision she made. I love that she owned all of her own materials and had the perfect matching color for our wedding scheme. She did a site walk thru and planned everything with a layout. Her text and email correspondence was great! I could write two pages about how amazing she is and how you really need to make sure she is handling your wedding decor and design. As soon as my first phone call with her I could tell in my spirit she would make all of my dreams come true. and she did! I had the complete piece of mind from the moment I hired her. I was even worried because I WASNT worried about anything. She is like the fairy godmother that transformed Cinderella! I give her my highest review possible! Elegant Wedding Design is the best!

Allana at City Chic Events was invaluable to us in planning and executing our daughter's wedding. She was professional, flexible, reasonable in price, approachable and available. She communicated with us as much as we needed her to. She was prompt in her responses and offered suggestions when asked. Allana worked quietly behind the scenes the day of the wedding. I found out, after the fact, that she had to repair my daughter's wedding dress after someone stepped on it. I never noticed!! From the time of our first phone call to discuss my son's party, Grace provided: excellent service, great recommendations and thoughtful attention to my aspirations for the event. Throughout the planning period Grace was quick to respond and handled all of the negotiations with vendors. Grace made it clear when there were action items such as contracts to sign or deposits due, constantly checked with me to see where she could support, and provided budget tracking tools through each phase. On the day of the party she was so supportive and helpful throughout the event - I couldn't have pulled it off without her!

I highly recommend Tilly as a wedding day-of coordinator. I had a 220 person wedding reception in October 2017. I consider myself a fairly organized person, and when we first met she brought up a ton of questions I was surprised that I hadn't even thought about! Tilly continued to keep in regular touch before the wedding to ensure everything was on track. Thanks to Tilly's hard work before and during the reception, my significant other and our families were able to enjoy ourselves to the fullest, worry-free! Friends and family had pleasant things to say about Tilly as well. We had an excellent experience with Tilly and I certainly would recommend her to any of my friends planning to have a wedding.

I hired Katisha as my florist a year ago and fell in love with her approach to planning. Katisha and her team are outstanding! She really took time to understand our vision. I had a whole Pinterest board dedicated to bouquets and table centerpieces. She helped me wade through all the different flowers types, styles and colors. We went to two different flower markets and she prepared 3 different proposals for us! I had such a specific vision and a very strict budget. She did a ridiculously amazing job of bringing our vision to life! Two months before the wedding, we had a unfortunate scheduling situation with another wedding planner and we had to let her go. Katisha and Theron stepped in as our wedding day coordinators. They did a phenomenal job helping us plan, handling situations on the day and keeping us on schedule. We were so blessed to have them help us on our wedding day! My husband and I both agree that if we had to do this all over again, we would hire Katisha and Theron from day ONE!     How much do day-of wedding coordinators cost?

    A day-of wedding coordinator makes sure that every detail of your wedding day goes off without a hitch, and deals quickly and quietly with any last-minute emergencies. For many brides, the day-of wedding coordinator is their best investment! The average national cost for a wedding coordinator is $800 to $1,000. Although full-service wedding coordinators often charge a percentage of the total wedding budget, most day-of coordinators charge a flat fee plus an additional hourly fee if the day runs long. For example, a 15-hour day-of coordination costs an average of $600, plus an additional $45 per hour if the coordinator works more than the planned 15 hours.     What should you ask a wedding coordinator?

    When you hire a wedding coordinator, you want to make sure he or she gets you and can execute perfectly your vision of your dream wedding. To find the very best fit, it’s important to ask these five questions:

    • Are you available on my wedding date? If the coordinator isn’t available on your big day, there’s no reason to continue the interview — unless you’re willing to shift your date to accommodate their schedule.
    • What’s average cost of most of your weddings? If the coordinator’s usual wedding is outside your range, they might not be the right coordinator for you. Ask whether the coordinator requires a minimum wedding budget. In general, the wedding coordinator’s fee should be about 15 percent of your budget.
    • What is your speciality? Some coordinators specialize in day-of coordination, some create the overall vision, and others act as a producer.     Do I need a wedding day coordinator?

    Even if you’ve handled every detail of planning your wedding, you might appreciate having a day-of wedding coordinator in your corner. Usually, the coordinator meets with you a few weeks before your wedding to put together a detailed timeline of everything that needs to happen on your wedding day. Then, on the big day, the coordinator makes sure everything goes according to plan — and handles any emergencies that pop up, such as party crashers, missing tuxedos, late vendors, disappearing bridal party members and more. Most wedding coordinators also handle:

    • Distributing the wedding day timeline to all of your vendors.
    • Coordinating all of your vendors, including the photographer, florist and baker.
