Drum Lessons (for adults)
He's very reassuring that he can help me with my drumming challenges and has given me examples of ways I can improve my skills/techniques.Sep 18, 2017
Brad is a true professional Drummer, Percussionist, Musician and Educator. He brings a wealth of knowledge regarding all aspects of drumming and music to his instruction while tempering it with practical experience. His positive outlook and approach make the learning experience enjoyable and inspirational.Oct 28, 2015
I took lessons with Brad for over 10 years. He was always willing to work with me on what I wanted to work on and was patient with me when I didn't practice (which was sometimes quite apparent.) He is a really nice guy and I couldn't recommend him enough.Nov 7, 2015
Brad has been teaching my son how to play the drums and I see much improvement. Also, I am happy because my son is encouraged to do better and is motivated to practice on his own. Brad is a true professional who listens to the individual and their skills. Happy. Lisa M.Nov 6, 2015

- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)? My pricing is similar to other reputable teachers in the area. I prefer cash and will often give additional time to students who pay that way.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?I first assess the student's interests and experience, and begin students on a combination of drum set exercises along with some material to develop their hand technique and coordination. I introduce new concepts as the student is ready for them and also teach them how to "think" like a drummer and how to practice efficiently. I write custom exercises and drum solos that are fun to play while building crucial skills.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?I've studied drumming throughout my life during my school and college years and after. I taught at one of the world's best drum shops for twenty years (the Drum Pad) and we hosted over 100 of the world's best drummers in clinics and I was able to take lessons and masterclasses with many of them. Since I write for every issue of Drum! Magazine, I have to research my topics and pass the scrutiny of my editors. I write transcriptions of drummers from their latest CD releases and also do most of the drum set product reviews for the magazine. I contribute feature articles that are educational in nature and also film video demonstrations of my lessons for their website. I'm up on the current players, can give equipment advice, and have created lots of unique material for my students that develops specific skills.
