I practiced ACT material with Andrew for a couple weeks and improved my score by 4 points. He was on time for our lesson every week, and always knew how to answer my questions. During each lesson, we took a practice test together, and no matter which test we were working on (science, math, english), Andrew was very knowledgeable on the subject. He was also very understanding when I got questions wrong and worked hard to make sure I grasped every concept. Overall, my experience with Andrew was very beneficial, and I would recommend him to anyone
Nicole is very good at discovering what individual goals are before even scheduling the first session, and is excellent at tailoring the sessions in such a way as to work towards those goals. It's been a pleasure taking lessons with Nicole, and look forward to more.
Robert is a well-rounded teacher I've ever seen. As a language learner I seek and appreciate a teacher who has these following aspects (in order of priority). 1. Profound knowledge: Robert has a bachelor degree in German and Dutch and he can speak German like a native speaker. He totally understands how a second language learning process works and he has succeeded with it, obviously. Therefore, he can easily engage his knowledge and his invaluable experience on second language learning in teaching ESL. Furthermore, strong background in linguistics allows him to clearly explain complex grammar/word structures if you wish to study more this aspect. 2. Teaching experience: Robert has been teaching ESL/German for many years. Through each lesson, each student he has culminated with invaluable experience. What it means is he can assess a student's level accurately and propose a teaching plan which fits best to the student. Level checking is also done regularly by Robert to assure that his teaching always corresponds to the "real-time" student progress. 3. Professionalism: If you don't know what you need to study, what is your strength/weakness, talk to Robert!!! He knows where you are, what you should do, and how you should do. He will give you a great deal of advice and learning resources. He spends much time on designing lessons, preparing materials for the lessons, correcting your assignment, etc. 4. Robert is really enthusiastic, patient, punctual, and responsive. He has a great sense of humour and it is always pleasant talking/studying with him. He is both a teacher and a friend. ROBERT IS HEARTILY RECOMMENDED TO YOU WHO IS LOOKING FOR A BEST ESL TEACHER. Phong Tran PhD student at Umeå university, Sweden.

I am an EXPERIENCED professional performer, and I teach from that perspective as well as from the perspective of an experienced teacher. I have performed all over the world - different genres of music - and I can perform under all sorts of "interesting" conditions. I have a graduate degree in BOTH performance and pedagogy (which means teaching). I have sung musical theatre as well as opera, so I can teach and understand both genres. I have played the piano professionally as an accompanist for violinists, singers, wind players and more, so my understanding of piano is also quite varied. I also speak and understand Italian and German, which can especially help when teaching opera. I have an ability to help make my students feel quite comfortable quickly and to help them to find THEIR UNIQUE talent. ALL of us have something unusual and special to bring to our music. :-) Let's find it!

My rates are as follows: - $40/hr. at a student's home within 10 miles of Wood Dale, IL - $20/hr. at my studio in Wood Dale - $15/30-minute lesson via Skype I am a guitar teacher with over 10 years of experience teaching all different styles of music, including blues, folk, acoustic, funk, ska, rock, metal, melodic, country, classical, punk, alternative, and various other melodies. I have played concerts all over the state of Illinois, and I have taught many students throughout the years. I teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced players. I am very passionate at what I do, and I will guide you through the proper steps in becoming a great guitar player. Playing music takes a lot of time and patience as well as a lot of practice playing by yourself and in front of people. I am very relaxed and motivated to help my students learn, and I will guide you through everything. I would prefer that students bring their own guitars, so that you would be more comfortable playing their own instrument. If you can't or do not have one, I have guitars here that you may use but during our sessions only. Check out my video. With a lot of practice and a lot of studying, I can show you how to play like a pro and have fun! Lesson Details In my curriculum, students will start off by learning the basics of the guitar, knowing the parts and accessories and so forth. Then, we will move on to tuning and perfect pitch. As we move on, students will learn how to build and maintain a rhythm. Learning how to play chords is essential, and we will be going through chord progressions and how to recognize and memorize the various chords. Furthermore, I will be showing students how to read tabs and write music. I will be showing students the different types of scales there as well as the keys that they are in for those who want to become soloists. I will also be teaching different techniques that are incorporated with tapping on the fretboard as well as various other techniques. All of these lessons will be taught in our private sessions, and each student will receive homework assignments, so that he/she can go home and practice what he/she has learned. I will be having tests later on, in which I would ask you to play one of your favorite songs. With enough time spent practicing, you can become a master of your instrument. Studio Equipment Basement studio: amps, guitars, wah pedals, music stands, guitar picks, and music sheets. I am a native language Spanish tutor. My technique consists of teaching Spanish with a situational and conversational method. This method helps students to have better retention and learn more vocabulary faster. I also teach math using practical examples that will create interest in learning. This approach is especially convenient for teenagers who need a motivation to learn math.
I ask my clients questions about how they think they learn. Do they like worksheets? Are they a visual learner, a reader? Do they prefer an apple computer? These all help me determine which style of curriculum to start out with for them. I never decide on a particular course right away. They try a course for free and we see if it is working. Sometimes we change it, and other times we come up with a customized version that works for them. We also see what motivates them the most.
I am able to help clients with reading, writing, language and speaking development. These lessons led them to opportunities such as job advancement or the development of professional acumen.
