Scott was great! He was very knowledgeable and took the time answering all the questions I had about training our dog Sofie. So glad I checked out in-home training services!!!
Sherry is a fantastic dog trainer with expertise and a true love for animals. Her advise was invaluable!
We really love the in home setting used for training. Everything is done in a trainers home and the dogs are supervised 24hours a day. The trainers, and employees of Your Best Friends Dog House are great. They are very attentive to the human clients needs as well as the dogs and other animals. We were introduced to YBFDH about 3 years ago, we had an 8 year old Irish wolf hound and he was starting to act iffy. He would growl at the kids and was beginning to become aggressive to strangers. Our neighbor had used YBFDH for dog walking, and pet sitting so they mentioned to me they also offer dog training. We sent our old boy to learn some new things, and he came back without any of the negative behaviors he had previously shown. We now have a 1 year old Great Dane and he did his puppy and basic training at YBFDH. They do a great job!
Leslie is an excellent dog trainer, patient, diligent, organized...a true professional who we would recommend to any dog owner looking for a trainer. Paul & Molly
Here is a little history, we adopted a tree walker coonhound from a shelter in Tennessee and brought him home to Wisconsin. The first month was ok as we all got adjusted to each other. There were counter surfing, mouthing and dominance issues from the beginning. We knew we had a stubborn ALPHA, ALPHA male but we were working through it. The dog and I had an altercation over a rawhide where he became very aggressive and tried to bite me. From that day forward he would try to attack me unsolicited any time he saw me or heard my voice. It got so bad I would have to lock myself in a room so my wife could let him out. I am 6',1" tall and 220 lbs, this is the first time in my life with all the dogs I've owned that I was afraid of a dog. We talked to many behaviorist's whom all said we should just rehome the dog and had no answers for us. I was determined not to give up and make things work because I knew that this was a good dog deep down inside. That is when I was recommend to Shelly at "Hair of the dog that bit ya". I got a great feeling from her right away on the phone and was intrigued by her explanation of how she handles her training of dogs (it was a much different approach from what I was hearing from everyone else). This is a large breed hunting dog who is aggressive and she knew exactly how to handle it. She came out the very next morning to a situation where everyone in the house was uneasy and afraid of this dog who now was in total control of the situation. Long story short after two hours Shelly had broken the dog had him taking commands from both my wife and myself. We felt like we had our lives back and believe it or not the dog seemed happier that he now knew the pecking order. This was truly a Christmas miracle for my entire family. The picture attached is from the same day where that morning my dog wanted to kill me and what he was like by the afternoon! I cannot thank Shelly enough and I am so excited for our new life together with Bohannon. Todd & Shelly Bloom
Dee is amazing she is best dog trainer! My dog love her!
Andrea first met our dog, Jake, in an adult beginner class. It became clear shortly after we got Jake and he started taking the classes that he had some difficulties around people and other dogs. She handled him so well in every class, setting up a special area for us where he wouldn’t be distracted by the other dogs and owners while still being able to participate in class. She taught us all the basics and was very patient and attentive to Jake, despite not being able to directly interact with him until the fourth week. She gave us so much helpful one-on-one advice before and after every class and continued her wonderful work with us with a couple private sessions. My husband and I were fortunate enough to reconnect with Andrea at Canine Connect for the “Rambunctious Rovers” class designed for reactive dogs. In this class, we learned how to build off of Jake’s beginner knowledge to help him succeed in challenging circumstances. Andrea is able to use her firsthand knowledge of these types of dogs not just due to her training background, but because of her experiences with her own reactive dog. She is able to relate to our difficulties. In this class, we learned many strategies on how to have better control of Jake to prevent things from going wrong. We also learned how to allow for and reward his good decisions. I’ve left this 6-week class with so much more confidence on handling our dog. Throughout all of our time with Andrea, she has been available to us outside of class to address our concerns and questions. She is patient and caring with all of her clients. She truly loves what she does, and it shows! Andrea is a fantastic dog trainer committed to her clients and we look forward to working with her again.
Chris was great to work for training my puppy Lily. I really liked that he listened to what I wanted to work on, and made sure to personalize our lessons based on what I wanted. He was very attentive, and also made sure to check in between training sessions, which was very much appreciated. I would absolutely recommend Takacs Dog Training to anyone looking for a great in home trainer!
As a first time dog owner I have learned that the process to a well behaved dog is the training of both the dog AND the owners. Our rescue one year old Birder Collie/Australian Shepard mix was pretty well behaved indoors and in our yard but had a very aggressive issue when meeting new digs and people. He could not be trusted to not bite either. After one session with Lynn and homework he was 100% better. After the second session I have little fear of having a problem. Buddy still needs some work however the change has been dramatic. Lynn comes to your home with written plans and homework assignments. Hire Lynn, you will not be disappointed. Jeff Wadsworth
I made contact with 5 star canine to train my dog. Jason arrived at my house on time, explained his services and went to work immediately training my dog. My dog now listens to my commands. Unbelievable. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge, expertise, and value. If you need your dog (s) trained, I would highly recommend contacting five star K9. I am glad I did .
I have trained threw different dogs with A plus two puppies and one rescued adult. Each of them learned so much as did I from Lindy and her staff! They clearly love animals and know what to do or say to help each individual and situation. Great puppy classes for learning different training techniques socialization and basic obedience. All of my dogs learned good basic obedience each in their own way as Lindy knows how to adjust the technique correction and praise to each individual dog wether they are easy going stubborn or shy. Advanced classes are fun and offer continuing training and bonding with you dog! Love A plus and would recommend any one with a dog young or old train there!
I have completed a full course of agility training with Pawfect Dog Training and the experience was incredible. My dog, Max, and I run together and travel a lot. Being able to tire him out was a challenge initially. The Pawfect trainers had me awestruck in the first session! We planned for 2 hours and Max was exhausted after just 22 minutes of games to work his mind. He's a border collie mix. After seeing that, I knew I had hired the right trainer! We learned the agility ladder, the tunnel, the agility sticks, the hoops, and so much more. Max is always so focused on me now and tuned into what we're doing. We were close before, but now, the bond we share thanks to Pawfect's Pawsitive training methods and teaching us so much about how Max sees the world will be forever strong! Thank you Pawfect!
Scott did a great job with house training/off leash training with my dog, Penny, and later bird training.
Jeanie Murray: Well, seven years ago Tom McMurchie worked with me and my 1-year old Labradoodle, Rush, in Phoenix AZ. I don't have adequate words to explain how wonderful the experience was. Tom was knowledgeable, professional, patient, humane, and just darn perfect. He trained me as well to make Rush an awesome, well-mannered family member. Then, Tom moved to Chicago. Rush is 8 years old (still perfect), but Tom has always been available for me to talk to him on the phone with dog-training advice. Then we brought a second Labradoodle into our home at 8 weeks old, Reagan. Do I ever wish Tom was still here to work with me and Reagan, who is a work in progress (almost 3 years old now). Actually, Tom did advise from afar when I had questions about Reagan. If you are looking for that perfect person to work with you and your dog, don't look any further than Tom McMurchie. Thanks, Tom!
Stephanie’s knowledge of my dogs aggressive behavior alone was so impressive that I immediately knew she was the right trainer to handle My dogs fear and aggression issues. I’d never heard of day training and couldn’t believe that My dogs aggression could be fixed in such a short time, but her knowledge was impressive. I’m both amazed and so grateful for the work she did with my dog. The only downside was that it was a pricier than some of the other companies I talked to, but totally worth the investment in the end! I would and have recommend her to anyone looking for a trainer!! Thank you Stephanie!
I’m looking forward to working with Sev’s Smarty Paws. Tracy was helpful and professional from her first contact with me. Our consultation showed me she is exactly what we are looking for in a trainer for our dogs.
Joe has helped me with several foster dogs. He has helped me learn positive techniques that work very well. I highly recommend him!
In the first year of his life, my Great Dane had worked his way through two dog trainers and five dog walkers. The latest trainer- a certified animal behaviorist, had recommended we put out 9 month old puppy on prozac. My husband and I were against the idea, but decided to have the conversation with our vet. He absolutely refused and then recommended we talk to Kyra. Fast forward two years. Thanks to Kyra (and Comfy K9s) we watched our misunderstood, misbehaved puppy grow into a respectful, loving, well behaved family member. When it comes to training, except to work. Kyra takes her role very seriously. She wont let you fail your dog. The number one thing that separates her from any other trainer, behaviorist, dog walker- I've worked with is her passion. She wants to help and she'll get it done any way it takes. She reads. She studies. She asks questions. The training is customized to your dogs individual needs. And, she truly cares about you and your dog. When everyone gave up on our dog, she was there. Shes reliable. I know I can call her anytime and Comfy K9s will take care of us. (They're actually on my emergency contact list!) Kyra is trustworthy. Shes genuine. She will make your dog shine.

I have been training dogs for about 16 years, and I'm very good at it. I do obedience and attack, and I also help dogs with trust issues.
