I had the pleasure of working with Mike, Culeen and Matt for my engagement party a few weeks back and it was a great experience! From the first call with Mike to the cleanup at the end of the party, I could not have asked for a better experience. I will admit that planning is not my forte and with just over a week before the engagement party, I still needed to hire a caterer to help feed 15 guests for the event! I was lucky enough to connect with Mike who listened to the dietary restrictions of the guests and helped plan an incredible menu. He went so far as to combine my fiancee's favorite dessert (cheesecake) and mine ( creme brulee) and put together an amazing combination of a creme brulee cheesecake! Anyone who has gone through an engagement understands the nerves that can arise up until the question is popped! Needless to say I was a bit antsy the few hours leading up to the event and figured i'd head up to the venue and check things out (it was held at the party room in our apartment.) When checking out the venue I realized I had gotten something incredibly wrong....there was NO STOVE in our club room!! I frantically called and texted Mike to let him know and he said not to worry about it and that he would figure it out. He kept to his word and somehow used sternos to cook our meals....and believe me when I say everything came out better than I could have imagined!! Mike and team were lifesavers and helped make the night run much smoother than I could have hoped for. Rest assured I'll be using Cater-2-U again for my future events! Tammy was our chef for an in-home dinner party on a Sunday afternoon in February. 12 adults, and all of us thoroughly loved the entire experience. All of our guests contacted us afterwards to say how much fun they had and how wonderful the food was. From the first contact, Tammy impressed me right away by providing a large menu of items to choose from in the various course offerings. It printed out to over 5 pages of appetizers, salads/soups, entrees, sides, and desserts. The hardest part was choosing, but it sure was nice to see so many choices as you want to accommodate 12 guests. We picked 4 appetizers, a terrific wedge salad with blue cheese/bacon dressing, prime rib, 3 side dishes, and her homemade turtle pie. The prime rib was perfect, and several said the turtle pie was the best dessert they'd ever had. My personal favorite was her prosciutto wrapped scallop appetizer.......wow they were fantastic. Tammy arrived 2 hours before our guests with every single thing needed to prepare the meal. Several bags of food, serving plates, various kitchen tools, mixer, fondue server, spices, milk/eggs, etc....... We used our own tableware and plates even though she offered to bring that as well. I was impressed with how clean she works, and when she left the kitchen was perfect. She even placed all the leftovers into ziplock bags for us to keep and reheat. I highly recommend Tammy for an in-home dinner party, and the next time we do this we'll hire her again.
Chef Aram Reed provided a fabulous experience. His menu and preparation were exquisite and he and his wife were organized and prepared the entire meal, set the table and cleaned up for a flawless party. They are both extremely nice and fun to talk with. The entire party went off perfectly and all the guests loved the food and service and ambiance. They do a fantastic job.
Kirk hed a private cooking lesson, at my home, for about 15 family and friends.Kirk spend about 4-5 hours with us. Kirk was on time and ready to go at our scheduled time. What impressed me most about Kirk was not only his creativity as a chef , but he was also extremely patient in answering all of our questions. He educated us on everything from what to look for in a set of knives to the importance of selecting the freshest ingredients. He talked us through everything that he prepared. The quality of the meal he prepared was delicious!!! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend Kirk as a Chef.
Chef Damien was a pleasure to work with! I would highly recommend his services. We hosted a group of 18 for a formal four course birthday dinner at our home, and Chef Damien delivered in every aspect. Actually, he didn't just deliver- he surpassed our expectations. I should mention that I work in the hospitality industry, and that half of our dinner guests also work in the industry. Needless to say people had high expectations. Everyone was thoroughly impressed with Damien's friendly nature, cool demeanor and his warm hospitality. Not to mention the food was amazing! He really went above and beyond for us. We all felt like he was an old friend by the end of the night. Chef was totally flexible with changes and ran with everything we threw at him. It felt like he was having as much fun planning and delivering the meal as I was. Sometimes chefs can be a little touchy, or protective of their vision- in the way an artist might be. While I definitely qualify Damien as an artist in the kitchen, he was never touchy or negative. He was always super humble, kind and willing to go the extra mile. His passion for food and people is evident in his service. I would hire him again in a heartbeat!

Kristin has catered many events for me...from intimate family holiday dinners to a buffet for over 100 people. She is very professional and fun to work with. But most importantly her food is delicious and the presentation is outstanding. I've known Kristin for at least 10 years. I highly recommend her!
Hired Chef Frank to cook a meal for my Mom as a birthday present. First experience with something like this. She enjoyed the preparation in her kitchen and said the meal was good. My parents are diabetic so the menu was zuchini noodles in a tomato based sauce, chicken vesuvio (not spicy), and roasted cauliflower. They both liked it and it was fun to know they were doing something new even at 74!
When planning a party it's very difficult to find the perfect combination of professionalism and culinary expertise. I found both in hiring Chez Mikey. My guests and I were so impressed with Chef Mike's preparation of our appetizers and main entré. We began our dinner with a one bite amuse bouchée, marinated carrots and cucumber caviar tray. Beautiful and very delicious. For the entré we had the "Hunters' Trophy" (lamb chop on top of polenta and a slowly cooked chicken thigh). This combination was presented artfully; and more importantly this dish was so tasty that even the guests with whom lamb chops are not thier favorite protein, found the lamb chop tender and cooked to perfection and loved it. Chef Mike ended the meal with a special chocolate ganache celebration cake which left all my guests happily ending on a sweet note. When I have another event, I'm speed dialing Chez Mikey because he will soon be booked up. Chef Mike and Sous Chef Diana are top notch in making a party scrumptious and elegant without the worry.
Sandra has cooked for me twice and I can tell you, this woman knows her craft well! I am impressed by each opportunity I have had to taste her food. My first meal was a delicious collection of delectable ham, smoked turkey collard greens, corn bread, mac and cheese. I was in heaven. The ham was perfectly balanced (not overly salty), the collard greens had the right touch of smokey goodness with delightful chunks of turnkey meat and the mac and cheese...wow! Nice crispy baked goodness with smooth rich and creamy cheese goodness. The corn bread was the topper. I had to share with a friend so they could taste but then immediately thought, "I'll have to get more!" The second meal was a delicious spaghetti dish with garlic bread and a delicious salad. Wow again! The meat was in generous form here - a mix of quality ground beef and Italian sausage. I was in heaven! The sauce was delightfully balanced- flavorful and zesty but again, not salty! The garlic bread! I had to ask her how she made it because it was infused with flavor. Simply but delectable! The salad was not your lettuce and a few veggies affair. It was kale-based with chunks of apple, tomato, onion and many other favorites of mine. Truly, a dish that could be so bland and boring turned out to be another delight. Sandra asked me what I liked prior to cooking and did she deliver. Her use of spices is amazing. I keep going back to balanced and it is true. The flavor profile was amazingly great! I highly recommend Sandra. Not only does she deliver on the promise of making tasty food from the heart, she is a great teacher (she explained to me how to make the garlic bread her way) and she's a quality person. A delight on all fronts!

Your prices was very reasonable for the amount of people you prepared food for. I use Julie for alot of my get together's. She is very creative with menu's and is always bringing something new and exciting to the table. I can always depend on her outstanding baking and pastries to WOW my guest. I like the fact that she uses alot of the local produce from the area as well as her garden ..I would be lost with out her ..she is great ..she can do small dinner party to a sit down plated meal with 100 guest or more . We would be lost without her
We used J's for a block party and he was great. Even though the weather didn't cooperate, he soldiered on and gave us an amazing meal. The tacos (steak, chicken and pork) were delicious!!! Everyone loved it. I would definitely recommend J's for any of your catering needs.

She is incredibly skillful in culinary arts and it was a delight to work with her throughout each event. Her ability to talk me through each course and deliver a meal that far exceeded all of my expectations was truly incredible. Susan could not be more accommodating or pleasant. She asked copious amounts of questions to find out my food preferences and issues. She came to meet me on the first delivery and brought hot food ready for that nights meal. Of the food I've had so far, delicious. This is someone to high for all kinda of food needs.
