- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I decided to get into dog walking and pet sitting after years of using other companies to care for my 2 dogs, a 16 year old German Shepard and a14 year old Catahoula Leopard. After traveling for work and pleasure and trusting these companies I found out the hard way that medicines were not given, walks did not happen and dishonesty and overcharging were the only consistent thing in my pets lives when these companies were supposed to be taking care of them.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
I encourage anyone looking for a responsible dog walker or pet sitter to invest some time in researching the person or company they are thinking about hiring. There are a lot of companies out there, but not a lot that will truly care for your pet as you would. Read reviews on other websites, don't just use that companies references.
