Introduction: I have had the benefit of serving my 4 year apprenticeship through the Plasterers and Cement Masons Union, Local 5 in Chicago, and I worked for the largest historic plaster restoration company in the country as a Plaster Superintendent. I love the feeling of accomplishment that each individual job gives me when It is complete and ready for paint.

Michael was great! He was very responsive, was able to help us out quickly for a good price and did wonderful work. He replastered an area under a window that has previously been damaged and repaired a plaster ceiling that had started to pull down. I’d highly recommend Michael and will be asking for his services again.

Extremely pleased that we went with Michael Aragosa Plastering! Mike was extremely responsive and was able to not only provide an estimate, but complete our small’ish plaster job in a matter of days! We spoke on a Friday and I had my plaster repair done by the end of the day that following Tuesday. Pretty unheard of in my experience! He was easy and pleasant to deal with with. Most importantly, the quality of his work is excellent. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Mike again and highly recommend him for your plaster needs.

I live in a 90 year old home that was in need of some major plaster repair work on the ceiling in the garage and the basement. Mike responded almost instantaneously with a message and personally visited that same day. He followed up quickly with a written quote and kept me informed about when he would be on site. He specializes in plaster and concrete work and it shows in his professionalism and the excellent quality of his work. This is my first experience with plaster v drywall and he took the time to explain the approach/process and took care of every little crack (which I didn't even notice) and the obvious issues. The prep work and cleanup was meticulous and that is very important because the demo creates serious dust and debris. For this kind of work, a specialist/pro is highly recommended vs a handyman and of course that should be MIke. I will hire Mike again as the need arises

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Generally I try to charge on a "per day" basis. If there are two men on a job for one day, then that is considered "2 man days" then material is figured out and added in. I never charge for estimates and I always want my clients happy so that they will refer me to a friend.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have taken many classes and have certification in the following: Aerial Work Platform Operator Training Lead Awareness Training Asbestos worker Certification Scaffold Competent Person Certification Osha10 Safety Certification OSHA 30 Supervisor Safety Certification California/OSHA Stairs and Ladder Safety Certification
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started plastering when I was fresh out of high school and the first job I worked on was for the ambassador of Switzerland in a high rise condo on East Lake Shore Drive. It was the largest condo I ever saw, at that point in my life and I loved going to work and learning something new every day.
