Our Condo Association recently hired United Iron Contractors to sand, prime, and repaint the stairwells, gate, and deck for a 3-flat. The ironwork had been neglected for several years and was in desperate need of some TLC. Dominick was great to work with from the initial quote to the final walk through of the work performed. He is an expert in his field and readily explained the how and why things were done. Despite weeks of rain, Dominick found a way to finish the project on time even if that meant putting in 15 or 16 hour days. The stairwell looks brand new and we couldn't be happier with the completed project.Jul 27, 2019

Great work, fair price. My building was very impressed and pleased with the work they did on our front gate. They installed a keypad and welded security fencing. Wonderful job!Sep 9, 2019United Iron Contractors, Inc.'s reply
Thank you Amy! A pleasure doing business with you!
Really solid work at a competitive rate! Dominic fixed up my rusting staircase. He ground down and repainted it and set me up with a solid welder (who did great work at a competitive price.) Stairs look great- rust stains are all gone and stairs are in good shape. Highly recommend!Sep 6, 2019
Full disclosure.....Dominic is my husband, however, I'm adding my own referral as he did the work on my condo's stairs and fencing before we were married. Okay, okay, so I'm slightly biased because he's my hubbie but, honestly, he does really amazing work. We had the stairs done two years ago and they did a horrible job. After just one year we had rust coming through and could tell that they barely grinded anything on the undersides. Dominic got rid of all of that hidden rust, scraped all of the flaking paint, and repainted everything properly with primer and two coats of paint. He also did NOT use the horrible paint sprayers the other guys used, (thus getting paint all over my neighbors brand new car). He always uses brushes and rollers to get a good coat of paint (using small spray paint cans in tough to reach places). He really does great work! And we work hard together to always be very responsive and helpful with any questions.Jul 26, 2019
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?50% of total amount to be paid as deposit before work starts. 50% of total amount to be paid upon completion of all work.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?usually estimator comes to property to review the project, then takes info to the office and we send a quote to the customer.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?make sure that estimates from different contractors are pricing the same thing
