About UpVerb and language lessons -
My name is Iga, and I am the owner of the Online Language School UpVerb and I am also a skilled, and certified German language teacher with over 4 years and 4k+ hours experience in teaching German as a foreign language. Language certificates, business needs, travel: what goals do you have in mind? Me, or someone from my team will help you get there!
Besides managing my small business, I am meeting my students in a virtual classroom. Ever since I started teaching the German language, I have been very passionate about three things - maximizing individual student performance, inspiring students' interest in the language, and instilling a sense of self-worth among all of them. My educational background is in German language, literature (Masters degree), and applied linguistics in Bachelors.
I speak four languages, so I am also a language learner always eager to learn. My experience in learning languages has a significant impact on my teaching style – I know what works and what doesn’t.
Whether you are just starting out or would like to learn German for work, study, research, travel, or simply socializing with your friends and family, working together, we can determine your language skills and personalize a program that will help you achieve your language goals.
At UpVerb, we offer general language courses (A1 – C2) and specialized lessons with a focus on conversation, vocabulary practice, grammar review, reading, writing, test preparation (Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, Telc, etc.), and application training.
We strongly believe in learning through immersion with a lot of space for fun and repetition. The more sentences and patterns you repeat the better you get. There is nothing better than speaking with a native speaking professional. We surely create a very friendly environment for language learning that integrates the teaching and practice of grammar.
