Sycamore Carpentry and Handyman Services
About this pro
Lance was great. We hired him to install some doorknobs and address some lighting issues, but the doorknobs we had ended up not being the right size, so he went out and purchased other ones. He went above and beyond. We will definitely use him again for handyman services.Apr 4, 2016Verified

Lance was great from beginning to end...communication, work, detail, feedback, suggestions, etc. And his painting work was perfect. I would definitely hire him again and would recommend him.Feb 26, 2016Verified
Lance was easy to book an appointment with, and he also was very helpful in showing exactly what he was going to do to get the job done. Lance not only helped us with our original request of mounting a TV but also helped with some other small jobs around our place. Lastly, he was friendly and very professional. I will definitely hire Lance again.Dec 8, 2014Verified
Lance was great! I hired him to paint my one-bedroom condo. It only took 3 days. He is super professional, and he really wanted me to be pleased with the final product; we've scheduled a "touch-up" date next week after I've lived in the space for a bit, and his pricing is very reasonable. Only critique is that I wish it had been a bit cleaner at the end of the job, but I'll absolutely be recommending Lance to my friends outside of Thumbtack.Nov 7, 2014Verified

- How did you get started doing this type of work?My father was a union painter, and I was brought along on jobs since I was a kid. I attended Lane Tech HS and took every shop class I could cram into my schedule. I've always loved the work, the calculation, getting to create. When the opportunity for an apprenticeship came my way, I took it.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?A leak in a client's roof had created a waterfall that ran from the attic to the basement, destroying the west wall on each of three floors. I did the initial tearout on a Sunday, and after the mold remediation and weatherizing was complete, I was able to install new insulation, drywall and paint with 20 hours in the space.
