Introduction: My industry experience enables me to provide students with insight into practical applications of the subject. I spend considerable time outside of tutoring sessions to assess the student's level of understanding and to prepare lessons which are most beneficial for the student. I do not charge for time spent outside of our sessions. I love working one-on-one with students. Helping a student gain a level of understanding which he or she couldn't achieve alone, and seeing an increase in the student's enthusiasm and improvement in classroom performance are my rewards for the work which I do to make every tutoring session effective.

We found Greg last year through our daughter's school, St. Ignatius, and we are using him again this year. We tried several tutors but our daughter really found him to be quite thorough and really easy to work with. He was very focused and prepared for each lesson. Math is not in any way her strong suit and by working with Greg she was able to understand math a lot better and has gained confidence that she can do math. Greg has also worked occasionally with our son who is very strong in math. We are using Greg this year for Math and science. I like his very even tempered manner with the children as well as the fact that he seems very vested in how well they perform in class. I especially like that he lets me know how the children are doing and I never fell like he is in any way wasting time. He is very honest and straight forward. If the children need less than a full hour then that's what he will do. Additionally, he won't do the work for them, he really tries to help the children develop the independence needed to become better students. Greg is a great tutor.

This is a supplement review to one I left about 12-18 months ago. Greg has far exceeded my expectations. When my daughter was in high school, and studying for the ACTs, Greg tutored her for Geometry, for which her high school was sorely lacking. She improved by 6 points on that due to his tutoring. She has finished her Freshman year in college at the University of Kansas, College of Engineering, she wanted to take her Physics I prerequisite, which was a five hour course over eight weeks. It covered 12 chapters, and flew. Greg was wonderful! He explained, and gave her the confidence, and she ended up doing exceptionally in the class. I have had experience with other tutors for my other child as well, and he far exceeds anyone. He is prepared, professional, and highly intelligent; yet he speaks to the kids on the level that they are at. I would be happy to speak with anyone considering utilizing Greg's services. You won't be disappointed.

Greg has worked with our 8th grade daughter for the past eighteen months. She went from being a B math student to an A student and has maintained that A grade every trimester since. Her standardized testing and CPS MAP scores have increased dramatically in math. Her confidence is very high. Greg is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Our daughter feels very comfortable asking him any math question or for clarification. Greg is the ultimate professional. He is always on time and truly cares about his students progress. He is wonderful about keeping parents aware of each class session. Our family has benefitted a great deal from Greg Pucci of Accel Math and Science Tutoring. Try one of his sessions and you will be hooked.

In the Fall of 2017, I reached out to Greg, as I was in the process of applying for a PhD at the University of Chicago, and needed to take the GRE before the spring. Greg immediately was willing to add me to his busy roster of students, and accommodate my, somewhat turbulent, teaching schedule. Greg held a high level of professionalism when it came to understanding busy schedules, and would offer to add extra sessions, accommodate changes in my schedule, and tell me far in advance if there were any changes in his own. I'm a high school social studies teacher and, not by accident, math has never been an area where I have excelled. I had attended a tutor in high school, and was a regular attendee of the Math Resource Center in undergrad. I had reservations about going to a tutor for the mathematics portion of the GRE, but working with Greg was very different from my previous experiences. He is able to break down the concepts, rules, and strategies in a way that made the content clear. I have felt in the past that my tutors became frustrated when I didn't master the material well, I never felt this way when working with Greg. He is an excellent "re-teacher." What I mean by this, is when one approach to the material is still not clicking, he doesn't continue down that same path, he employs new methods until the concepts are understood. As a person, Greg is kind, patient, very enjoyable to be around. His genuine interest in your success as his student is apparent at each session, and beyond. I highly recommend Greg as a tutor to anyone who is looking to improve their mastery of mathematics. As a high school teacher, I strongly recommend Greg to this level of student, because his demeanor and approach are fantastic for this age group. - Mary Kettering
