Introduction: Big Rob The Motivator is a professional life coach, keynote speaker and entrepreneur. His pride & joy are his 4 year old daughter Josephine, and 4 month old son Jacob. He describes his wife of 6 years, Sydney, as the beautiful glue of their family. Rob has taken his CLAIM WHO YOU ARE Tour to thousands of people across the United States. It all started at the age of 16 when he gave his very first speech to a church congregation. By the age of 20 Rob started a career in law enforcement to continue to serve his community. After spending many years as an officer for the Illinois Dept. of Corrections and the Cook County Sheriff's Dept. he decided to pursue his true passion, helping people achieve their personal and professional goals. Big Rob started his first business in 2002... a film production company that crashed and burned like so many independent film production companies before him. But that did not discourage him. He collected his ego, dusted himself off, and tried again. His next attempt was a huge success, but not overnight. His first year he made $3000. But that modest number eventually transformed into a six-figure company, and first business to surpass $1M in revenue. Then Big Rob took on the art world as an abstract/impressionist artist making $3000 in one day in his first gallery show in Chicago. World renown art curator Mr. James Rondeau of The Art Institute of Chicago recognized Rob's art by making him a finalist in the national Art in Motion Showcase. Big Rob The Motivator takes his many experiences as an officer, speaker, entrepreneur, award-winning artist to help people fully tap onto their hidden potential. BIG ROB THE MOTIVATOR IN HIS OWN WORDS: "In 2007, I was eating honey bun snacks for dinner. It was all I could afford. My foolish pride would not allow me to pick up a phone (In '07 we actually used phones to make phone calls), and ask my family and friends for a little help. They wouldn't have blinked. But I wanted to "go through the fire" alone... prove to myself that I could make it on my own." "I wanted to be an entrepreneur, be self-employed. That year I quit my job. I was working for billionaires. Opening Bentley doors for corporate CEO's, accepting flower deliveries for diamond-bedazzled socialites and helping Forbes 500 Listers with their bags. I wanted something more for myself. It wasn't because I thought the job I had was beneath me... it was because I knew I wasn't exploring my full potential. I was doing myself a disservice by ignoring my gut and walking into that job every day and feeling unfulfilled. So I quit. Cold turkey. And started a business." "I made about $3000 that first year, hence the honey bun snacks for dinner. $3000 a year doesn't go far when your rent is $1000 per month and healthy food in Chicago seems to be only for the rich. I was broke. Frustrated. Desperate. I needed a life-saving plan and I needed it NOW! I realized at that point that the Calgary was not coming. I had to FIGURE OUT "WHO" I was and what I wanted for myself. Many years later I reached my basic goals, and many more goals I always thought were too impossible to reach. Today I help people navigate through the WHO AM I, and WHAT do I want, and HOW do I get there?" "Motivating individuals to explore and find their inner strength is what I love to do. Every person carries a vital role in their own success. There is no Calgary coming. You are the hero, you are the help, you are the path to your fulfillment. I'm merely here to help you unlock your power." "The greatest feeling is to have people tell you how you've helped them to change their lives. Students that were once below average students have excelled to A and B students and employees that felt stuck in their roles find themselves quickly climbing the corporate ladder. Aside from those tangible reasons it is also the intangibles that give me a sense of fulfillment in the work that I do. Hearing a young father describe his renewed commitement to his family or a young woman deciding to pursue a small business because she was inspired at what was staring back at her in the mirror. Helping people has been the most fulfilling experience I've ever been involved with. I love it!"
