Introduction: My love of food, and my vast cooking knowledge and skill sets me a part from most people who are cooks. I am patient, and want to discover what it is about food that you desire. My food skills range from vegan to carnivorous, from many food allergies and intolerances like nut, gluten and lactose, as well as having the ability to bake within those guidelines. That I am able to remain reative and evolve with different foods. Tastes are maturing constantly and since Chicago is full of all kinds of people, this city has not only introduced me to new foods, but giving me the ability to deconstruct many meals to fit any dietary restriction- for example, if you want lasagna, but like me are gluten and lactose free, together we would talk about what ingredients you would want in your meal, what you do and don't like, and how many people will be joining you.

In the last two months, Jemine has catered for a four-band live music show I booked with an exorbitant amount of amazing baked goods. Her technique was impeccable, and it was evident in the fact the people who wouldn't ordinarily enjoy dessert because of its sweetness were able to have some due to her finesse, portion size, and incredible balancing of flavors. The other event was Meine Kuche's meal at 914. The event itself featured great live music, beautiful artwork installations, plus an unforgettable three-course meal. Her cooking is perfect for any occassion, from a 100-person rehearsal dinner to a romantic upscale dinner for two. She's done it all and will continue doing so.

Describing Ms. Omabegho gives me a chance to use the word "gregarious". :) She also presented as competent, receptive and willing to tackle a challenge. I was particularly appreciative of her knowledge of international cuisine and common specialty diets, as well as her use of whole foods. When she gets to work, there's professional focus. I've worked in kitchens before, so my standards could be considered high with regard to proper seasoning, doneness, etc., and I was not disappointed.

She combines ingredients and spices I wouldn't have imagine throwing together and it works to amazing affect! Elements like an over easy egg layered over a creamy, just right oat meal, mixed with fresh kale, all of which cooked in a custom vegetable stock? Didn't see it coming but I'll be keeping my eyes open for cooking this bold and I wont be shying away from seconds.

Jemine created a custom cake, cake pops and white chocolate lollipops for my rehearsal dinner. We got so many compliments on the presentation, and everyone thought the flavors were delicious. She was a pleasure to work with and was one step ahead, which any bride can truly appreciate!!
