FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing varies in relation to what a client needs. A single camera interview with a basic lighting setup will be much cheaper than a multi-cam production. I base my quote off the Thumbtack post then meet with the client to figure out all the specifics and can adjust as needed to work out the best rate.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When I meet with a new client, I have them tell me everything they are want for their project. That's my road map. From there I ask questions and work backwards from a final product delivery so expectations are managed and the client sees how I will get them what they need, when they need it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have my BA from Ball State University in digital media along with acting. I'm lucky to be able to play in a field that is exactly what I went to school for! After I graduated in 2006, I spent a year coordinating the Institute for Digital Entertainment & Education within the Center for Media Design at Ball State. I worked with a group of undergrads focused on creating branded digital content. At the time this was the wild west! YouTube had just launched and we were on the ground floor. It's been so much fun to have begun working as a professional in a market while it was still figuring out what it is and how it works.
