Roman Remodeling did a great job on our tile flooring. They were professional, showed up on time and cleaned up afterwards. Unlike so many other remodeling companies the price quoted was the price charged. We will definitely use them again.

Rich was a pleasure to work with. I had a leaking shut off valve and fauce that needed replacing in a large condo building. Even though it was a small job, he was very professional and courteous. He is very knowledgeable and will explain in detail what needs to be done. I highly recommend Rich for any of your home repairs.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

My dad was a tile contractor and one of the first Armstrong retailers in the Chicago back in the early 50s. I worked with him summers to earn money before I could get a job legally. I liked what I was doing - the pay was good and those were the days when few went to college. I enjoy my trade and it has been good to my family.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

Some of the more common calls I receive are for noisy running toilets, leaky faucets, re-grouting - re-caulking, safety bar installation, doors or walls teenagers punched through etc.. I do alot of calls for senior citizens that want to maintain their homes as their hubby had. They love the attention to detail I give, the conversation and it seems that once the work I came to do is done, they find a half dozen more things. Sometimes I'm at the same location for 2-3 days where I had originally came to fix a toilet.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Do your homework. Ask for references and make sure to check them out. Don't let the dollar be your deciding factor - you have saved for a long time to get this work done and you don't want to have to spend twice. Make sure you use a professional. Too many unskilled people out of work these days posing as contractors - choose someone you feel comfortable with. No room for attitude.
