- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
The first lesson is like the first day of school. My goal is to understand where you are and where you want to be in your guitar playing. We'll also discuss your schedule. Progress is made when you do something every day. Whether you can devote 20 minutes or 2 hours/day, what I've seen make the difference is consistency. In the lessons that follow, we will review the topics covered in the previous week and build. Depending on your specific goals, this could mean using new chords to write an original song, or taking the scale you just learned and seeing how Jimi Hendrix used it in his soloing. This helps take abstract ideas and make them practical. A general outline of my lessons is included below. This may change based on your current level of guitar playing and music theory, and may change depending on your goals.
